I toured with Butch in the 70s. I'm not a magician, but as Butch noted, I have a good sense for music. He bought us tickets for the Rolling Stones twice, standing in lines back in the day. He told me how to get into a concert by saying "I have the medicine for the band."
He could stand and face you and tell you things to your face that others might whisper behind you, and you were better for it.
He had a great intuitive grasp of human nature, and I learned a lot about what it means to be a social person from his direct, expansive approach to life.
He was irritating in his confrontation, but he taught you honesty and how to express yourself with friends and enemies alike.

Butch. You will be missed. Nobody I know has your enthusiasm and great love of music. You were a good friend and an all around good person.

Just surfing through some stuff and came up with this web site. I was looking to contact Jim Reinmuth, my ole buddy from the 60's and 70's. I use to room with him and Ray Ray briefly when he lived on 9th and played in Heaven.
I miss Butch too. He was one of a kind.
Jim...my email is theorientexpressed@hotmail.com
Best to all, JJ Keating
