On July 25, 2001, it was reported that the EPA will likely require Lubrizol Corp. and possibly other potentially responsible parties to pay $6.5 million to construct a concrete cap over the Sandusky County, Ohio lagoon Superfund site. The site was used as a dump for industrial wastes between 1954 and 1970. Lubrizol and the EPA have been investigating and working on this site for over 10 years and the cap may take another year to construct. Knight Ridder Tribune News/Business 7/25/01
Is this the same site as the one on the map? |
