I have seen worse places in Linolnton that needs cleaned up, but, yes I agree. I sure miss that old building standing there. I remember riding by it as a small child and seeing the workers looking out of the windows on the top floor. Then someones idea to brick the windows up was so surprising to me back then. Such history to be torn down was an awful thing in my mind. They could have did so much with that building instead of tearing it down.
Oh well, can't now.

I dont know...I mean the land can be used for great things as well but you are right if it had stayed a building then of course the bricks wouldnt be used in the new hospital..so there goes that branch on this tree.

If the building were to stay considering the issue they seem to be having with the land it self...I am not to sure that it would of made much difference.

But with the new hospital so close it would seem to make more sense to have some sort of retail compare to another mill.

It really becomes a chicken or the egg type thing.

No Tear Down - No Bricks for Hospital.

No Bricks for hospital - More money spent on new bricks and they dont get to tout that they are green and recycling.

No New Hospital - No change to the Carolina Shopping Center.

No Change to The Carolina Shopping Center - No New Family Dollar.

No New Family Dollar - Means another empty building just wasting away as Dollar General was set to close for a long while.

Save a Historic Place or Move a Historic Place (using the bricks for the new hospital)

I personally, just wanna know why they wont comment and not make any statements about the land in general. So, it goes back to my original post. Why wouldnt you wanna clean up the mess as soon as possible?

*haha...went on a ramble...*

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Cancer

Mercury turning retro is offering you the chance to make sweeping and long-lasting changes to your life, and to clear the ground for some fertile growth in 2010. Lawyers and legal matters, debates, contract negotiations, partnership or other alliances, and joint ventures of any kind need attention. As a Cancerian you don't like endings, but you must now bring an end to any situation or relationship that is holding you back or has passed its sell-by date. Look forward, not back, if you want a glittering future.
