Woman pleads guilty in Spitzer prostitution probe

This woman should not be getting ANY time in prison. Any time in prison for this woman is a GROSS miscarriage of justice, and she simply should not be given any time in prison.

It is also about time that we LEGALIZED PROSTITUTION! It is past time to realize that men and women have the right to sell their sexual favors if they wish to.

If she's going to prison, so should he. He contributed to it, knowing it was illegal. What punishment is he going to get??

Don't forget that running the prostitution service was only one of the charges. I beleive money laundering and tax evasion were also issues.

I agree. I normally disagree with the lockstep argument that the John should get as much time as the madame. It's a little like saying that the kid who buys alcohol illegally should be sentenced as severely as the liquor store owner that is profiting from it.
In this case, however the John was the attorney general and then governor of the state. THere is no way that he can claim he was less culpable than the hookers or the madame/pimp combo. There is also the liklihood that his application of the laws was biased and compromised as a result of his own illegal activity.

At any rate, got to love this country, sex-power-lies-deception-greed etc...looks like the making of a 21st century television mini series (I.e., Dallas, Dynasty, Knots Landing, etc...)
