Petri along with wojnar and kocialski were all asked to retire early. Petri just happened to also want to leave, and kocialski went to work with Kennedy. All were goood men.Boleeno has since past away. Has anyone heard any info on the Islington plant. Last i heard they were closing and work was being distributed to other plants. I am currently working for an employer who does not pay as much as I received at quebecor, but I have other benefits such as sick days, and 401 50% match. That I did not have at quebecor. I'm glad I left Quebecor Buffalo, because even though the core work force is still good, the temps and new hires are useless.I pity any operator who has to deal with that situation on a day to day basis. It seems that as soon as the ankle bracelets come off, they are hired by Quebecor. Is it the same way in other plants.

Did you know that Ron Wojnar passed away and so did Mickey W, Mickey just this year. I agree with what you said especially the "ankle bracelets". All the temps and new hires want is a pay check and they even try to tell the senior people how to do their jobs. They all have attitudes that's a for sure. With the older work force retiring I really hate to think of what type of work force we will be left with, for sure not one that cares.

Nashville Nepoleon EVP wrote: Ha Ha Ha, Dean needing another scapegoat, what a laugh, if Dean's boss ever ventured into one of his plants and talked to the people he'd know what's going on and Dean would be gone. Being over the people who are really responsible is easy, you just tell them what to do and when it doesn't go as you want, you pull the plug on them. Dean's expenses are through the roof, he eats top shelf and parties like a rock star all on QW's tab. Of course he a Executive Vice President, not because he is a leader people will follow, but through intimidation. His only way of making a profit is by grinding up employees and closing plants. Besides who led the charge to retool the catalog group, while the margin fell out of the catalog market, all along while everyone who had a slight idea of what catalog did knew that postal rates were going up - I mean when was the last time you of heard of postal rates going down? So if you want a drive while looking through the rear view mirror kind of guy, call Dean, he's your man. Im not really a fan of Dean but he will trive in this business enviroment. Thats because he is business period, he will cut costs where he sees the need and neither friend or foe will matter. If he has made a visit to your plant he already knows more about your capabilities than you do and will know if your b/s'n him. He doesn't tolerate people b/s'n him and he will not forget. I believe he will continue to move up and it should be his boss's that should be worried. just my honest opinion im in no way defending him thats just who he is I think

So now the location of Wes Lucas's next "conquest" has been revealed - he is joining Sirva (parent company of Allied Van Lines) as their CEO. They refer themselves as a "relocation company", which in itself is absolutely hilarious because Wes has been relocating for his entire career. The Chairman of the Board Kevin Dowd, stated: “Wes’ strong leadership, deep operational experiences, and capabilities to grow businesses will serve the company well as we continue to improve our operational performance, competitive position, and increase the value we provide our customers. The board is unanimous in its decision that Wes is the right person to provide the sound leadership to build on SIRVA’s core strengths and successfully grow our company. We are pleased to welcome Wes to SIRVA.” More CEO gibberish that in no way, shape or form relates to anything that Wes has done in his last two disaster assignments. Many people strongly believe that Wes was such a good customer of Sirva and their relocation services that it was easier to hire him. Now he can get a nice employee discount when he makes his next move. The press release later states: Lucas comes with a deep experience in growing companies, building execution capabilities, and developing superior customer value. Now my sides are hurting from laughing so hard. Growing companies?(Growing debt) Building execution capabilities?(Executing good long time staff) Developing customer value?(Dismantling branch network and field personnel to essentially eliminate any customer value delivery capability). I can't wait to see what new goofy slogans he comes up with to mask his executive shortcomings. Oh, and Sirva just emerged from Chapter 11 last month - fresh meat for Wes to drive back into the red ink (pun intended). My condolences to the employees of Sirva - you are in for a lot of lip service and no substantive leadership.

That dishonor falls squarely to Pierre Karl - a piece of solid shit - who almost single-handedly ruined the company that his father started.

There is a bit of a more concrete forum discussing Sun Chemical or dedicated to Sun Chemical (not Quebecor). Go and post anything that might be good for dialog at: http://www.topix.net/forum/business/chemicals...

Don't know why you're saying that the plant on Marine Drive made money, they alays lost money especially with Denis W and the so called little twirp in charge of the western sales in charge you don't think that in these troubled times that Quebecor would not sell the building when the land was worth 7MM ?
