78 goes from Stone Mountain to Snellville.
Check this link out to see.

http://www.mapquest.com/maps...

Now, up to Gwinnett Mall, that's a bit awkward. There wouldn't be any reason to. The buses pretty much cover that area sporadically.
Discover Mills is stretching it. Sugar Loaf Parkway?

The only use of expanding this would be to have a park/ride for car to train; a waste of rail that wastes money to produce and maintain it.

You're right. Thinkin' about it, the taxes to Gwinnett Transit would be the best way.
A park/ride for car to bus like in Roswell's Mansell Park/Ride would be the best option.
People still have access to North Point Mall.
Might as well do the same for the 2 Gwinnett malls.

We're cool, Kurizzos [Wink].
What do you think of a line into the north that stopped at Gwinnett Mall, Discover Mills, then Mall of GA? That seems like it would be useful for commuting into the city....
And a similiar one that went into So. Gwinnett via 78 making only a few similiar stops (I'm not familiar enough with that area to name logical spots).

Holy hell!!! I failed to look at the Mall of Georgia!
Georgia Regional Transit Authority buses can connect those areas.

You could just have a rail line that went straight up 85. Then the people in Sugar Hill and Buford could drive to Mall of GA to access it, Lawrenceville and Suwanee could access it from Discover Mills, and Norcross and Duluth could use the Gwinnett Mall stop.

The 78 line could provide convenient stops for those going to Lilburn, Snellville and Grayson.

Last year, as shown by the AJC, MARTA had alot of proposed expansions:
__________
Northeast Line: A rail line from Lindbergh to Emory Univ. area
__________
West Line:
Out to Six Flags
__________
Weird South to East Line:
from Garnett Station to the Stadium to South Dekalb.
__________
So now its Indian Creek to Snellville,
Doraville to Gwinnett...
__________
MARTA has too many ideas.
I dunno. A bit flip floppin'.
Gwinnett can't wait 4 their decision.
GCT buses might have to handle its county solemnly.

I live in Buford. I DO NOT want MARTA in Buford. They have been trying to get MARTA into Gwinnett for years and I for one, am happy that I have to go to Norcross to get a train if I want.
Love this quote "with you 100%on this one Beth, there would be a deterioration in the quality of human in Gwinnett." and I am also a BethW supporter. BethW 2012! LOL

hopefully now that gas is $4.29/gallon or not there at all the redneck conservatives can see that MARTA is needed in Gwinnett Cobb and Clayton

This is what happens when RIGHT-WING NUTJOBS are allowed to make the laws!!!

as people run out of gas and cant even buy gas because there is none and there are no other alternatives than to drive, then maybe something will get done

Marta is not the answer for the gasoline crisis. George W is the problem. And the hurricanes. There's plenty of gas out there. Just too many politicians in the way of the tankers.

I would like to see Marta in Gwinnett and I'm not a Democrat. I am all for a logical debate. To infer that all Democrats are educated and progressive is petty. You might want to check you facts before you say how people vote.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Aries

There are good indications in the areas of career, a relationship with somebody you admire or with work in general (regardless whether it is housework or paid work). This is an excellent time to reorganise how you do your daily tasks and to send off your resume, or go for a job interview. You may receive helpful advice from a co-worker: if you are waiting for news from a parent or authority figure, you should have it soon.
