Poor Gene Guess. Its about making money over health of the citizens. Stop supporting businesses that think this way.

Missouri seems to be moving toward a smoke-free policy municipality by municipality.

This is something the tobacco industry has been trying to prevent for well over a decade, by getting state legislators to pass laws taking away the rights of smaller jurisdictions to protect their citizens.

It's easier to buy or snow a small number of people at a state level than to get over on all the people at local levels who actually live where the laws will take effect and know most of the people who will be affected.

Actually, the reason OSHA opted out of a federal regulation of SHS is recognition that smaller jurisdictions were addressing the issue and OSHA preferred to leave it to them.

Of course, the tobacco lobbyists jumped all over it as a question of failure to find intrinsic reason for regulation, but that's the tobacco lobbyists.

ROLMAO.

What a bunch of radical anti-smoking big pharma propaganda.

Your beloved bans are based on the ridiculous notion of there being "no safe level" of tobacco smoke.

If OHSA applied such a ridiculous standard to other forms of smoke...the meat addicts would lose the right to a grilled steak at their favorite local eatery.

*shakes head*

Now oh fanatical one...perhaps you might tell us all about these other forms of smoke that have "no safe level"?

Just what other forms of smoke qualify for such a "special" label?

Will you claim OSHA could come up with a "safe level" for galvanized welding smoke...and "no safe level" for tobacco smoke?

Please tell us how that would be possible.

The ridiculous double standards your kind applies is beyond pathetic.

WHAT A CROCK OF CACA, OSHA does not ban anything like Second Hand Smoke or Farts for that mater, what they will ban in a minute is any chemical in the air strong enough to cause harm to the workers. and they found NONE in Second Hand Smoke.. or it would have outlawed it in a minute.
