Women have been breaking the gender barriers for decades. We have women who are doctors, politicians, policewomen,and fire fighters. We have women who are in the Army, Navy, etc. If this woman has the the qualifications and education it takes to become a sheriff, why not?

Perhaps, our next President will be a woman. We came close this time!

Women have also been known to succeed in spite of the "Good Ol'Boys" club, which, I suspect, is what she is up against. People should vote for the candidate with the most qualifications for the position, not on their gender.
