Beth Carrigg is out of control

Someone should look into your clerk of courts overstepping of her jurisdiction and legal authority. Who does she thinks she is signing arrest warrents, having people illegally detained in jail after a judge releases them, and throwing temper fits so that deputies have to come from another court room to investigate what is going on. What kind of government are you allowing to exist in Lexington? VOTE this spoiled blonde out of office before she decides to come after you.

Good fellow citizens of Lexington County, please wake up and smell the proverbial coffee. Why the hell do you think Metts AKA B. Fife, is having the Sheriff's Dept named after him? Let's analyze this... he will get re-elected this is a given we have to deal with that. He has diabetes so his health is not so good. Here is his devious plan as it has already been unraveling before our eyes. People just are too blind to see hypocracy here. He gets four more years, then he "retires" or "steps down" due to health reasons. Either # 2 slides into the office (god help us if Rucker gets in there) or the hopefully the governer holds an emergency election between Johnson and Brazelle (either one is better than who we have now). Regardless, Metts has the Dept named after his almighty devine self and will be remembered as the sheriff who wouln't quit even through his "tough" diabetic episodes. F#$&*@G hogwash you know how many people have far more serious health issues and don't ask for a damn thing in return? He thinks of himself as a "Paragon of Virtue" Can anyone say Hoax? The trouble is Beth and Metts are in "bed" together (not literally God imagine that love child)? Metts gets a percentage of each family civil paper that goes out. He gets a measley $16 per crummy paper. The percentages are based off of how much he dead beat fool is behind. That enitire operation amnesty at the courthouse, take at look at how much fines or bach child support was taken in, then see how much the sheriff of nottingham's cut is. Look an inside source told me here is how it works. The warrant division is headed up under the cold death grip of someone called Joe Quig (a real military A@#%&) and he forces his supervisors to push those family court bench warrants. The deputies are told they are more important than serving that warrant for assault and battery high and aggravated, or burglary, or whatever. The deputies are told the family court stuff is their bread and butter. Deputies are discouraged when they want to serve any other type of warrants. Pose this question to your friends the next time you gather for a game of bunco. If you were the victim of a crime, and you were assaulted, or your home was broken into, how would it make you feel to know that the time you took to call the cops, wait four hours for them to respond, go to court as a victim only swear or affirm in front of a magistrate that you wish to pursue this matter to include prosecution only to have your warrant put in a file cabinent only to be served the next time some deputy by the stroke of luck stops that vehcile and miraculously the suspect is in that vehicle?
Good citizens please on June 10th. vote no to the Metts / Carrigg superticket and yes to change.

I find Ms.Carrigg to be very self centric and a poor representative of our community and our justice system. As a voter ask yourself, who does the work on our behalf? We should elect and support a person that supports the citizens they represent. We should support those who support us and that do the work in the office. Look at the attendance record and the staff that work on her behalf, you can easily find a better candidate - in her own office. Work for a better South Carolina and vote for the people that work for us.

It has been hard to grasp how Beth Carrigg has gotten away with the disgusting behavior that she has shown since she took office. It is my belief that there is a major problem when the clerk of court has the attitude of this is MY courthouse and as a taxpayer you have no right to ask why I do what I do. It is even worse when the deputies are forced to step in every time she has a temper tantrum...they are civil servants not her personal henchmen!!!

I guess all of you people who seem so upset over Beth carrigg overstepping her autority are either behind on child support or have a relative who has had to answe to a judge about their failure to pay child support. Ms. Carrigg does not arrest anybody a judge does and she does not overstep her bounds she DOES her job. you're obviously a bunch of deadbeats.

I have talked to Ms. Carrigg twice on the phone and the 2nd time, I was smart enough to record the conversation - when you remind her that she works for you and people vote for her, she seems to calm down, but I agree, she is out of control. I have and not ever been behind on child support and such an accusation is totally off-base. I would recommend that anyone that talks to her, record the call. Not sure when she runs again, but the opponent could certainly have some ammunition. I let a couple of folks listen to the recording here in my office and they all noted that her behavior and mannerisms on the phone are in total disregard. AND just in case you try to state that just since I am paying child support that I was the one that who was at fault - I can tell you that you would be dead wrong. I had SIX admitted cases of adultery, 4 to 5 others that she did not admit to although I had proof, she acquired an STD, etc. Carrigg tries to claim that the Lexington Family Court is fair, but if you are a man, WATCH OUT. If I had been the one that would have done all of this, just imagine what the Court system in Lexington would have done to me.
