George has many names and is the only one who wishes this post would go away. I wonder why? If he had no interest in it he would not read it.

(Re: paranoia, police,--- and Mike Kelly)

Excerpt from the article entitled, "Birds of a Feather" Part II,
Lexington Herald-Leader
August 28, 1989

"..........One night in 1979, as Kelly eavesdropped on Lexington police tailing Nola Roeper, a WKQQ-FM disc jockey who was dating Thornton, they began talking about Kelly.

Then the police started talking to Kelly, in what they later said was a joking manner.

"I'd just soon call in a 81-millimeter mortar on his house. Hear that, Fat Boy?" one officer said.

"We're going to blow your ---- away, is that what you're trying to tell him? We're going to fire for effect, Fat Boy," another said.

The officers said they knew that Kelly was listening.

Kelly took what they said as a threat.

"They were talking about killing me. I'm sorry (but) I don't see that as paranoid," Kelly said in an interview. "I may be paranoid, I don't know. I may be. I'm certainly not delusional."

Kelly and Canan took a tape recording of the police conversation to the Urban County Council. They said hardly anybody cared.

"Anytime you try to attack the establishment, particularly through their own laws, they turn on you. That's been proven throughout history," Kelly said.........."

It's not a term it's initials for Law Enforcement Officer. Do people need help that use LPD, TWA or BBB? Don't make have to tell you what those stand for!

cops are as honest as the politicians that write the laws and guarantee them their paychecks - you want to find an honest politician - just go and ask one they are all honest lol

Well the paranoid few still rehashing history on here use LEO to represent Law Enforcement Online, like they have time to come to
topix to entrap the idiots on here that think they are going to
solve a 30 year old conspiracy. Seriously take some aluminum foil
and make yourself a helmet and hide under your bed in case Thorton comes back for you.

Water under the bridge can sometimes rise and wipe everything out. Is that what you are worried about Georgie? You definitely want this forum to go away. Only someone with something to hide would work so hard at disproving it.

Anyone can use the initials, not just law enforcement! If you say LPD it doesn't make you a cop, so why would LEO make you one. You got some serious stupid going on!

too funny if the law wanted to get rid of mafias and criminal organizations they would have done it 100 years ago. if they wanted to get rid of dope and pill pushing doctors they would have done it long time ago. the truth is they don't want to get rid of it because it makes prison owners rich and puts money in lawyers and judges pockets. prisons and law enforcement and lawyers and judges and courts are called the compliance industry and without crime it would not exist - think about how much it costs just to go to court even then to lose a case costs thousands and sometimes millions - all of it is just a racket like everything else - if anybody want to know the truth just ask the ones they are keeping quiet in prison - look around at the rich lawyers and judges and landing strips that know where the bodies are buried and who is running the cocaine - in the meantime put cams on all the money going under the table and greased pockets, and find out the real truth - lol

They should have a minimum IQ for posters on here, and maybe we would understand what you are trying to say.

Was your dad one of the good guys or bad guys? Well ...or both, there were those, too.

It truly amazes me what people will believe just because it was written in a book...my mother has worked for Jimmy and Phil since I was 6 months old and the lies told about Jimmy in the book at truly sad. He is a great man, and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need....what we all need to do is ask Miss. Popular author of the bluegrass conspiracy about the skeletons in her closet and where she got all her info from??????

I knew Jimmy and I know where Sally got her info. Now, say what? It was all true and only a tiny glimpse into the truth. I do agree that he is a great guy but that does not make the book a lie.
