Best Birthday Cake?

What is the best bakery for birthday cakes? I will be there this weekend for my sister's birthday and would like to get her a cake. Can you help me out? Thanks!

Definately Maggie Moos ice cream cakes. Maggie Moos Ice Cream Treatery is located on Mall road close to Fayette Mall. It is in the new shopping center where Old Navy, Gordmans, Saul Good etc... is. It is in direct line across the street from the Movie theater. Justice for girls is right next door. They have great Ice Cream cakes. They are a little pricey but definately worth it. Call them a couple of days ahead of time to order the cake. They already have some made up that you can just walk in and buy as well. Hope this helps. I don't think you would be disappointed if you bought your cake there.

The best icecream cake I had was from Culvers. I had origianlly gone to Maggie Moos but all their cakes were frost bitten (not fresh at all). Keep Culvers in mind for a good variety and freshness (Reynolds Rd in front of Meijer or in Hamburg).

LOL Maggie moos cakes aren't frost bitten. They are always fresh. They date their cakes and none are ever sold after 30 days. They are donated after that. Also, you can custom order them and they are definately fresh. They are made in the store. They don't come in already made like some other chains.

Glad you had a good experience. My experience was walking in on my way to a UK football party. I thought a cake with some blue and white would work. NOT. I think they had been there all season. Just look before you buy!

Sorry you had a bad experience. It is under new management. A new manager took over about 2 months ago. They also got a new cake decorator. So I would recommend to you to give them another try. Sounds like you ordered the cotton candy cake. I actually wouldn't recommend that cake. It is the only blue and white one they have. Try the pecan perfection or any of their truffle cakes. The new manager is awesome. She is a friend of mine. Takes alot of care in putting out good and fresh product.

I looked at the caramanda's website. I wasn't too impressed with their decorating but maybe they taste good. I also looked at the Magee's site. They looked really interesting. I will definately be going there in the future. The deserts looked great. Now I'm hungry.
