Protesting with signs, babies at Applebee's

She should have to cover up it is common courtesy to other people and a business to do so

Just because someone decides to breed doesn't mean I have to see them half-naked in a restaurant. People who CHOOSE to have kids have WAY too many rights over those intelligent enough not to already.

I agree with Do Cover Up. I had three, two in the summer heat. There are light weight blankets if it is too hot. Please be descreet!

We as parents should have the right to deside when we explain things to our children.I can see both sides but as much as i love to see a boob I think id rather not in a resteraunt or Id go to Hooters to eat insted. Yes as a mother you have the right to feed your baby and it is natural but not in a resteraunt. Since this is a good thing for our children why couldnt a resteraunt provide a area for such needs that way all can eat and not have to explain to thier children why untill they are ready

There are reasons why breast pumps are made and available.

So now we can all see the reason for covering up while breast feeding, the very small minded little boys think it is for their benefit, not the nurishment of an infant. Somebody please put these poor ignorant males out of their misery.

If it was too hot Applebee to cover up then what did she think it was like in the car? Simply a stupid excuse by a rebellious woman. Certainly nothing wrong with breast feeding your child, but we all know it can be done discreatly & privately just as well as it can be done in public, she simply dosen't care that all the sick little letcher's out there are watching her for the wrong reasons. She'd be one of the first to cry foul when on the the sick little letchers commented about her breast though. In this day & age, just use a little common sense or be prepared for nasty comments by nasty people. The comments by those letchers on the forum alone prove that point.

FYI, the lady in question was in a back corner booth, facing away from the remainder of the restaurant. In a place and position that could not be seen from anywhere except by the wait staff as they went in and out of the kitchen. There was no "Free Show", just a confused manager that was out of his comfort zone and higher management that tried to "protect" all of us inocent's from ourselves. As you can see from a lot of the posts, there are a great number of, can't say men because they are not, what ever around. But, consider where they are living. Lexington is not really as bad as it seems. Just sometimes misguided.

Thanks, there's always more to a story than we know. My comments are mainly meant for those "males" not men, the same ones that forget they have a mother or sister that they'd probably kill for if someone degraded them. I just spent time in Lexington for a family reunion & had a great time, I have no doubt it's a decent place for the most part. That's the reason I even looked at this sight because I had just been in the area.

I too agree, please, they can cover up unless it turns them on.

I firmly believe that some people will raise pure and immortal over anything if it means they find their names in the paper. I cannot imagine wanting to put anyone so ill at ease that I would feed my child at the table in a restaurant, much less without covering up. If you know you are going to eat, feed the child before going into the restaurant--or cover up. I have NEVER known ANY Applebee's to be too hot for that. In fact, I typically shiver in the 'Bee. My personal opinion (keep in mind--this is MY opinion) is that those who care so little about the comfort level of others show a distinct lack of class and decorum, and that lack of class is magnified by the hissy fit and ensuing "feed in" that, if I recall correctly, the "afflicted party" did not even attend.
