Even thoiugh Daniel was only 15, he was adjudicated as an adult. He has emotional scars related to that incident and his family was crushed as well. How unlucky can he get you ask? How many drunk people think they're bulletproof and try to whip somebody's butt every day? How many guys would defend themselves when attacked by an unreasonable man with a deadly weapon? I think it's a crying shame that Chris died needlessly. I think it is equally tragic that Daniel has to endure the horror of taking another person's life to save his own.

He didn't take a life to save his own !! He murdered Chris plain and simple. He stated himself that he told Chris 4-5 times he was gonna hit him with the hatchet , in the the time it took him to repeat that statement 4-5 times he could have hit Chris in the foot, leg, arm etc. and left the property by foot or car. But he didn't he hit a man in the back of the head with a hatchet with the full intent of killing him. And they need to question the wife more , she definitely knows more than she has told.

I heard due to her trauma his wife is drawing a blank on the events that evening! And let's not forget she is the one who told media daniel split chris forehead open! Maybe its beTter she draws a blank.- her info isn't very accurate.

I heard that Chris said, "I'm gonna kill you or you're gonna kill me." I don't know about you, but I would take that as a lethal threat from a drunk, beligerant and unreasonable man and do whatever I had to do to defend myself.

Well everyone is giving their opinion and views on here but does anyone actually have any info regarding if grand jury handed down an indictment? This is the first time I haven't seen the charges upgraded to murder instantly when the victim dies. Also the lawyer seemed very confident & sounded like a lot of witnesses - who were all these witnesses that spoke up on carters behalf?

Ok so is anyone going to explain how carter fits into this family? Longtime friend, coworker, cell mate, drug dealer or what? Did the family know about his violent past or do a backround check before inviting him on property in the vicinity of all these young children?

You're thinking like a girl. Women want to reason, women want to run away. Women don't think or act like men. You could never put yourself in Carter's shoes and think what he was thinking, feel what he was feeling. There's much more to this story than you know. It will all come out in due time.

what more is there? Have charges been dropped or upgraded yet? If carter isnt indicted - then he doing time for no reason just like he did when he was 15 he served 1.5yrs awaiting trial and charges were dismissed. Any updates to this story yet?

I understand everyone is saying if he had time to warn verbally 3-4times then he had time to run... but if it was me...running away would never be a thought...i am not a good runner and i know i would be dead for sure if i tried. just another angle to think about.

Duh - when someone comes at you with a spear-like weapon you don't use your fists, you use whatever you can pick up to stop the attack before you yourself gets mortally wounded. BTW, does your computer have spell check?

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Aries

Your emotions have the upper hand, making you rather fiery and fervent. That's great if you're hoping for a passionate encounter with you-know-who, because you'll be really hot stuff. However, in non-sexual situations you could become somewhat tempestuous and irritable, especially if you suspect that things aren't going the way you want.
