I will be headed up to Atlanta for the weekend and I was hoping to possibly get some input. I am interested in possibly renting a canoe for the weekend. Any suggestions? Are there any interesting attraction in Atlanta or in it's surroundings?

The canoe rides down the Thunder Bay River are great and Thunder Bay Canoe and Kayak is located right outside town. There is great swimming at Clear Lake state park for a nominal day fee. Crooked Lake just south of town is also a nice beach and kid friendly. The Atlanta Thunder Bay Eagles --west of town on M-32 has a good fish fry on Friday nights open to the public for $8 (adults) all you can eat. Golfers seem to enjoy Elk Ridge Golf course north of town, and out in that area is good country for evening rides to see some of our elk herd. The fishing in the local lakes or right from the dam in town is fun. enjoy your weekend! |

Is Maple Valley riding stable still open? I had heard that they closed up? I went riding there a few times, it wasn't to bad. Had a cute cowboy named Dan wonder whatever happened to him

He's now a farrier and I believe he's also a Corrections officer in a prison. But still lives in the area. He has always been such a nice boy, or I guess I should say man now. |

Is the riding stable still open? My kids and I might come up for the Elk Fest and would like to go riding
