Maybe the thousands of people could show a little respect for the land owners and pick up the trash and beer cans left behind. It get’s very old picking up after the trespassers!

We sure do have to put up with a little bad and so will the Snow Drift organizers. I have almost 500 yards frontage down one of the roads this race runs on. I have had trees cut down and burned on my property, trash strewed all over and fences knocked over to gain access to my property. I have already contacted my attorney and he has advised me in this matter. The property is clearly posted and this year I will have people in place to keep ALL trespassers off my land including race workers. Anyone that is caught will be prosecuted and any and all damager to my property will be paid for by race organizers. This is my right under the law and I have just the lawyer to proceed in this matter. One would think that if you have a racing event that supposedly brings thousands of people to the area that proper policing would also be in the game plan. Last year alone I had over $1500.00 in property damage. This will not happen again!

Win from Atlanta -
I sure hope that your expreance is not the norm!! I personally enjoy this event, but did not relize that property owners were taken for granted to the exterme of gettinig their frontage modified without their permission.

Keep us informed
good luck

From what I understand about this even - majority land owners on this road are notified and acceptance is given to close the road for a certin time to run the races.
The spectator areas are ALL designated, all you would have to do is make sure the areas that you dont want people to go is roped off.
Posting friends/family around your property could result in a argument or worse.
You sound like a sensable person maybe you should contact the american rally association and let them know of your problems.
This race brings a lot to northern Michigan and to this very in-need county (montmorency).

I'd hate to see the Atlanta leg or any other leg of the race cancelled due to a disgruntled landowner and a little bit of trash!

Why not plan go back to school? Choose to study a subject that will change your direction in life. You may be limited in the short term, but overall it will be worth your while. You will be emotional about money matters if you let cash slip through your fingers, but a romantic evening of cultural pursuits will restore your soul.
