Is there any good recycle plants in the area? Dump sites are needed but recycling should have bonus rewards for citizens. I mean, if a person recycles then they should have a monetary reward with "greenbacks".

You don't think that is why Sam S
Resigned his chairman ship of the County Comm.
He has allot of land down that way
Coble too wonder whom

And another thing if Sam said he want to spend more time with his boys and family
Why did he not resign all together
Get plum out
More time for him
And he would not be taking up our time too
Just something else
He would not have too do

Doesn't Sam Smith own the land that they are trying buy for a new landfill in Cornersville? Maybe he resigned a Chairman of the County Commission so he is out of the public eye when he makes the deal with Waste Management. It looks pretty shady to me...

You have never cared about the people that live near the Duck River that have two rock quarries near. What about that blast that knocked out the electricity? I see, you really don't care when your friends are involved.

Yes I do care for you and the river too
You look back and see
If under another name
I did not fight for thee

Your fight is rock going out
And used on the roads
Money coming in to a company here

Our fight here is Sh## coming in
Pilling up and seeping out
Disease and industrial chemicals
Methane gas
And Money going out to a company
Headquarter in another State

Now I agree dust and pollution
Are real bad blasting too
I feel for you

The sh## that the cities but in the river too
I am against

But join together and fight as one
Don't complain about one

Lets get both done

If you care about Marshall County and the surrounding counties PLEASE attend the meeting Tuesday March 18th at 5:30 PM in the COurt House Annex to try to stop the LANDFILL
Waste Management does nothing for our county except pollute it. The land in question does belong to Sam Smith and Micky Cantrell It lies south of Cornersville behind where Micky Cantrell lived ( I hear Micky has moved to Decatur, Alabama but do not know this for sure)
A landfill will surely pollute our water supply and the water supply of surrounding counties as well as pollute the air,
Please call your county commissioneer and let it be know that you are agaisnt the landfill.

Yes they are and have found just the right location. It will be opened on the property of your former councilman. However, he did state that he loved his coummunity in his interview. At the ripe age of 83 one must wonder does he expect to carry that money to hell with him.

In my opinion

I am kind of glad to see
The wind blows from the west
I hope it blows right up
Mickey K's nose
And Sams too
May be they both
Can smell what I do

Since this site is down Joe Fowlkes way, hopefully he will step in. Besides, I imagine he doesn't want his drinking water source to be next to a landfill. For once it looks like the money men and land owners from Marshall County would step up and say that we have had the state's dump in our back yard long enough. I do hope that Jow F. can get a bit of political backing and help to stop this before it is a done deal.
