I know where you can get the 231 applicants for these positions. Hand out application at a flew clinic. There were 500 people there and not at work.

I know the idea is to hire locally, but lets face it, no one there is going to have experience, skill, or work history for the big money. The only benefit to the community will probably be a new lunch counter/restaurant, some sort of maid service, and a few hired warehouse hands and drivers. "BFD" No one will hold this company to hiring someone not qualified, nor exspect them to train anyone. Its just more Government spending up front to get long term tax returns (probably 10 fold) and the company has a sweet $5 mil start up package.

The company does hire local ppl.... and as for those who "don't have the skill" that's what training is for. They don't expect you to walk in and know exactly how to run these machines, or what defects to look for as you've never worked there before so it's all new... they will train and they are all very good ppl to work for

Hmm, they only commit to being here until 2012. If they haven't even started building yet, that means they won't even open the doors until 2011. $5 million seems like a lot of money for a 1 year commitment. I'm happy they decided to come here I just think they could have gotten a longer commitment out of them.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Cancer

Hold it! You need to approach things in a calm, controlled manner today otherwise you're likely to get yourself into a state in no time at all. That's especially likely if you're trying to meet a deadline because you'll start to panic and then become all fingers and thumbs. You might also get extremely ratty with anyone who gets in your way or asks stupid questions. Come on, is that fair?
