Charge her,she deserves nothing less.Lock her up and feed her nothing but bread and water twice a day.The baby sure as hell did'nt ask to be treated like that.

Charge her!! There are safe havens everywhere. Does an innocent child have to die for these people to be punished?

I can't say anything here except all of you are right. This thread is too painful for me so I won't be on it. Bless you all!

No crime commited? What about Child endangerment? Attempted Murder!!! If that little one had stayed there any lenght of time it might not have survived. The little guy deserves to know that the system acted against this worthless bit$%

Probably because there has to be no doubt about the biological mother before they can release the baby for adoption. That's just my guess. Don't really see why it matters, she should have no rights to the child anyway. Just more government red tape.

I am outraged that she may not be charged. I don't care who she is or how old she was. My 10 year old would have more sense than to mistreat a human life that way. I'm sure he hasn't been adopted yet because they had to wait to identify his "mother" before they could give him a permanant home. Just one more way she hurt the child by not coming forward sooner. Im hopeful that there is a loving family out there that can't wait to get this little guy in their home and give him all the love and care he deserves.

The baby was found in Delaware County. I understand their agency handled the case. But regardless, the agencies can ONLY work within the confines of the court and laws.

This is a hot topic and it should be. I feel most of your outrage at this. Oddly enough, this is one of the few times I will agree with the mass statements posted. I feel she should be charged for child endangerment and not attempted murder or something so drastic. I feel the protection of the child is paramount. This case can be used to help set precedent in central Ohio. Meaning, future cases can refer to it for prosecution reasons.

Let's remember that the police / investigators likely have WAAAY more info that we do. Maybe she will be charged at a later date. Maybe the mother is in a mental facility. Maybe she was released, didn't know what to do and returned to the facility. Thus, charging someone mentally unstable is a total was of tens of thousands of dollars in tax month. I am merely giving you a few possibilites. Let's allow the investigators from both police and child services to come to terms on how to proceed. I am certain they like to use the iron fist approach to keep copy-cat cases from happening.

I don't know why she hasn't been charged. But we have to assume there is a pretty significant reason for it. What if the mother has a terminal illeness and is (now) dying in hospital? Or she is confined to a mental facility? I am absolutely not trying to give excuses but as average public, we have nearly no details just like in most cases, but we are yelling for prosecution. I am one that prefers to see the evidence come forward and then I yell for justice. I don't know why she left the baby. Was it an accident? Did she leave child with babysitter and picked child up and forgot child in / near parking lot? Many people have recently forgotten their kids in the backseat of their cars only to have child die from cold / heat. This is far less significant (as far as harming child from heat / cold) but we sound like we want blood.

Just allow our officials to decide for us what is most proper considering all evidence. No matter what this young lady has to 'own up' to her actions when she dies and meets her maker. We all can sneak by in life. We can't sneak by in the end. Everyone pays for their goodness and evils. All of us. So rest easy. This child likely will survive and thrive. And may actually become a politician and go on to some great things.

I guess I have a horrible habit of giving people the chance to explain. As I have no idea what they were thinking or what was going on. Everyone deserves that right. Let's wait and see what is learned.

In Kindness,
Marysville

Good evening. This sentence is so true - we don't value children & many, many other people/things today. It's a selfish, "me-me" world & every generation gets worse. It's handed down like a diseased gene.

the woman should be forcibly sterilized as she has no concern for what enters or exits her vagina.
We do not value children in this society--- you're right. some people like my wife and i don't have children by choice and we are tired of the financial burden that all of the irresponsible, trash, unfit breeders place on society. why should we pay taxes to fund education for kids that don't care. don't tell me it's for the good of society. american culture is at it's lowest point since the civil war.

Thank You!!! I've been btchng & ranting amout this - you said it perfectly. Especially the school levys. Over half our property taxes are for the schools. We have no kids. But boy we are sure busy supporting many, many other kids. As you said - for what? It's not fair for the people who do pay for their own children & definitly not fair to people with none.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Pisces

You're lacking in energy and resources today, which will soon slow you down and make you feel as though you're wading through treacle. The only way to cope is to have as many breaks as possible, and not to set yourself impossible goals that you could never hope to meet. You're also very susceptible to the criticisms or put-downs of others, but do your best to ignore them.
