forget what that idiot says. she is in her senior yEar of college, has plenty of friends which she is NO different from & they love her. everyone makes a mistake and this could have happened to anyone. hopefully everyone learns a more important lesson from this tragedy that you should be more responsible of your actions whether its gettin in a car driving or getting in the car with someone who has been drinking, getting in a car where there is a maximum capacity, or simply even wearing your seatbelt - a simple click can save a life. this is NOT about how many guys she hooked up with or what she does for fun which YOU WONT KNOW. You have the rght to your opinion but that should be your least concern. People are physically & mentally hurt, pray for them and their families.

i need to say a few things without causing any hard feelings or arguments. the driver was not arrested for dwi nor dui - they did call her to pick them up from their night of partying and they did pile in her car even in the trunk - and the article failed to mention that she had a blow out which caused the accident not her driving, they all were under age and drinking and they called a friend to drive them home if she was drunk then why would they get into her car after making the smart choice in calling a friend cause they were too drunk to drive themselves, just a question you need to ask??? this is a lesson thank god and not a tragedy. i wish all the families well and hope all the friends of these kids take this situation and learn from it.

Regardless of if it was a blow out or not she was speeding and allowed that many people in her car knowing her own condition. She was at a bar taking shots before she picked them up and they assumed she was driving sober...None of them knew she was drunk, and she was not out with them that night. She is charged for speeding, no license, vehicular assault, and operating motor vehicle while intoxicated. Yes, it is a lesson only to now find out that if you are doing the right thing, underage or not, find out if the person picking is drunk themselves.

You should really get your facts straight before posting something like this. Newsday is not the most credible source neither is word of mouth. She was not charged with DWI or anything having to do with alcohol for that matter. She was not at a bar doing shots all night. A tire did blow on the car. She is a good kid, never even had a ticket before, so i think everyone needs to stop being so quick to place blame. All of those boys were adults and knew what they were doing. I am not saying she didnt make some very poor decisions that night, but she shouldnt be judged so harshly, especially from people that dont even know her. Everyone should just be praying for everyone involved and their families.

i actually talked to the person who was taking shots with her before she left. And it's on www.webcrims.com as to what she was charged with. I have my facts straight and am just stating them. Never said she is not a good kid.

she did not get arrested for driving while intoxicated or dwi or dui or anything to do with drinking at all. she was charged with speeding, 10 miles over the speed limit, not that it is right but everyone is guilty of that one at one time or another. it was no license cause she didn't renew it when it just expired. she is a licensed driver. she is a good person and wouldnt want to hurt her friends nobody would

You're right, that website does say that. But i do know that she was NOT charged with DWI yet. We could argue this forever but its not worth it. All that matters is these kids and we should all be thankful that theyre alive. This is something that could happen to anyone, and i just hope that none of you ever have to deal with something like this. People make poor decisions and mistakes and lets just hope they learn from them. I will continue to pray for ALL those involved and hope that they can all move on to have happy healthy long lives!

If she was not charged with anything related to her being intoxicated, then that is a little scary that she is getting away with it. Everyone is doing fine, thank god. I just don't see a website giving false information....if she was not, then it would not say it and we could argue if she was only because it is not there. Because it is there isn't much to argue about.

Whether or not it is written out for all you to see the driver was charged for dwi, she was ran into a local bar taking shots before she hopped in the car to pick up those kids. That poor boy john is in the hospital and could not possibly fulfill his dream whatever it may be for the rest of his life. Yes, thank god those kids are alive. But does that make her any different than had anyone not made it. Those kids lives were IN DANGER that night and actions should be taken severly. Now, im not saying i put full blame on the driver. It has been known throughout parents and children of the plainedge and bethpage community that her mother isnt exactly the best teacher for her children. She is known to take advantage of her daughters and abuse their existence hence why some of them are in thE position where they are now not living at home. I may sound judgemental but the lady is a dope-head, I do know her that well. My thoughts are with all 7 of those poor kids who thankfully are still here today and condolensces with the Dick family struggling with their son still in the hospital. God bless.

how can you say that? you dont know shit about her family they are amazing to their children its a shame they are dealing with this disaster. she was raised to be an excellent pitcher and student as well as a girl with a clear record. she was never charged for alcohol possesion or being intoxicated. her tire blewout im sure she didnt think at the time her friends called she would have to make a stop at the automobile shop and fix her tire.. now that makes her a bad kid? she doesnt deserve to be locked up! and samanthas mother isnt to blame.

It is absolutely ridiculous that you would blame her parents. First of all the mother is not a dope head, nor have any of her children ever been abused. They are a very loving and supportive family who have raised great kids. And ummm helloooo kids move out when they become adults, it has nothing to do with abuse!

How about putting some blame on the boys who got into the car with her instead?? Everyone knows its unsafe to pack that many people in a car, regardless of whether theyre drunk or sober.

People make mistakes...especially when theyre young..and hopefully everyone involved learned from it. And before you post such nasty rude coments you should really think about how you would feel being in their position.

Yes everyone makes mistakes but how long have we all been taught not to drink and drive? And especially when there's other lives at stake? I hope everyone is ok, and I hope she and all of her invincible friends learn from her "mistake". Next time she or some other kid could actually kill someone, or themselves.

First of all these websites are not accurate, and no one writing on this wall was in court, and if you were I certainly did not see any familiar faces. Everyone in this situation is in equal blame, you can ask every single one of those kids in the car, and they will all admit to knowing she had drank that night. This is not a secret, nobody should be on this wall bashing anybody, we have these children to pray for and the fact that you have terrible things to say about Samantha and her family, and pretend you know facts because you heard them through word of mouth shows how unintelligent you all are. If you really care so much about this case, its a free country, go to her court hearing. ALL the kids in that car have been dealing with a lot, and I think as far as any of them are concerned, you all should mind your own business. Lets hope everyone the best.

i suggest everyone that has had one or two drinks and drove - stop judging
i suggest everyone that has driven 5 to 10 or more miles above them speed limit - stop judging
i suggest everyone that has been in the car with someone who drank (coming home even with your dad/mom driving from a family party - stop judging
lets start living by what we are judging - learn from this and pray that all can heal from this... stop making rude comments about people who do what everyone does on a daily basis, learn from this speeding can harm so everyone slow down driving - don't drink and drive that means not even a bear or a glass of wine.
