Haunted places in Lenoir

Does anyone know of any good haunted places in lenoir???

There are several stories about Fort Defiance in Patterson. If you know people you can visit at night but otherwise it is only open to visitors during the day.

They say the chapel of rest (not far from fort defiance actually) is haunted.

Though, I don't believe in ghosts, thus, no, there are no good haunted places in lenoir, or any place else for that matter.

Still, I guess if you're going ghost hunting the chapel of rest might be a good place to start.

There are stories that Castle Bridge and the Goat Farm Road are haunted.

The chapel of rest been there, done that got the t-shirt you know the rest if you're weak minded they're any where you want them to be,

The Chapel of Rest is old, it's surrounded by woods, it has a graveyard, and does look kinda spooky at night. Other than the "ghosts", it has everything needed to be haunted. There are rumors that someone was killed there but I'm pretty sure they're just rumors.

Yeah, I've been to it too. I didn't see anything. Whatever though. I think people are just looking for entertainment.

I did know of one but my mother-in-law moved in and scared the ghosts away.

There's an old cemetery up in the woods behind the forestry station up on the gorge. I've been there many times and it's pretty creepy. It's surrounded by trees so it's always pretty dark there even in the daytime. There are many of the 1940's flood victims buried there.There's a gate with 2 graves inside it, 2 little girls who drowned together in the river the same day. There's concrete poured over the graves and it's been breaking apart and falling down into the holes over time. It even states on the stones that the 2 were friends who drowned while swimming. I have taken pictures that turned out with either an eerie smoke in them or what some people call "orbs". It's a very peaceful place but very spooky, especially if you visit there alone.

Janice where is the forestry station at the Gorge...not sure anymore has been a while since I was there

I have done the chapel of rest thing many times and only saw stuff once. Now i'm just lookin for more places to scare me lol

Oh come on...you actually saw stuff...really, or do you think it could have been you imagination or others playing tricks on you because I've been up there like 50 times since I was young and never saw a thing. The scariest thing I saw was a cockroach!

There is a ghost under my desk. Want to come see?
