mom and pop's was name of family style restaurant for a good while.
shame the mall was let go and is a tax write off now. Like most of this county, it is a "used to be".
stores were too small overall as the trend shifted to valley hills type malls and was in a flood plain.
could have potential as specialty shops, but from what i hear, the absentee owners want a tax write off.

I asked a man why he moved from there, he said,"the rent was too high". Why don't they rent it reasonable and get some people in there.

Greed is a damn shame, aint it

Foot Locker was in there too at one time. Wasn't the hot dog place called Jerri's or something like that? Man that used to be the place to go.

Someone told me that there was a new owner and they were going to do a bunch of improvements. That was a couple of years ago.

there was a girl raped and killed. lots of parents stoped letting us go. what killed the mall was when they wouldnt let teen or aldults talk. i saw some1 i hadnt saw n years. just ghit ghatting. white & black even tho married 2 same race the both of us. mall cop made us stop. i think that got alot 2 no business now. i am in my 40,s maybe late 20,s then. i love walking there, playing in arcade, meeting friends even trick or treating there. times has changed this world is sick and mean. hope make it safe and fun place 2 go.

I remember when it opened.

Saslows
Kay Jewelers
Merle Norman
Fashion Bug
Woolworth
Belk
A bookstore I loved but can't remember the name
Barrel of fun
Couple of eating places right when you walked in the front.
The Cookie/Peanut shop on the corner opposite the hot dog place.
Regis Hair Salon
Burands

Memories.:)

I also sadly remember the girl being killed by that
maniac behind the mall. She was about 2-3 years older than me I think.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Leo

This is one of those days when money slips through your fingers in no time at all unless you're very vigilant about your spending habits. Unfortunately, it will be difficult to stop yourself splashing out whenever the fancy takes you, whether or not you can afford it. You're especially drawn to tempting little treats and luxurious indulgences.
