Welcome to the new fascist regime, hiding behind liberal ideals, yet signs a bill that puts the final nail in the coffin that the Bush Crime Family built.

I guess o will have a committee to decide what terrorism is! The guy who fired at the WH was charged the carrying out a "terrorist act" so according to the "new" law.....he can be held forever with no right to hearing or trial.

Abe Lincoln did the same to folks who talked down the federal govenment running of the war.

A lot of folks went to jail and stayed there.

"Unarmed" Predators approved, checking out your backyard BBQ's & hot tub..do they have listening gear and night vision?

Now, thanks to Obama...

Only on the word of one man, an American citizen can be thrown into a prison without due process.

Are you folks okay with that?

Truth, did you even read your own link? It does not apply to U.S. citizens. Chalk another spam up to Obama Derangement Syndrome.

Yes, it does. You may wish to read the bill before you post again. It will help keeping you from looking so foolish.

"The administration also pushed Congress to change a provision that would have denied U.S. citizens suspected of terrorism the right to trial and could have subjected them to indefinite detention. Lawmakers eventually dropped the military custody requirement for U.S. citizens or lawful U.S. residents.
"My administration will not authorize the indefinite military detention without trial of American citizens," Obama said in the signing statement. "Indeed, I believe that doing so would break with our most important traditions and values as a nation."

Do you think that the military is the only organization in this country that detains people?

This bill originated with republican John McCain. It was passed by the overwhelmingly republican dominated house and the senate. So this crap gets by both houses of congress and you want to replace Obama with the ones who originated it? What could you be thinking? Do you think?

Even with his W style signing statements, Obama should not have signed this crap. Since all the republican candidates also support this , by what method are we going to correct this injustice? With whom do we replace the O?

When your rear gets backed into a corner THEN you say let it go, drop it. Uh-uh, what do think is the truth Truth? I don't think most on here have anything to worry about. If they were going to detain someone for just flapping their lips, trying to stir the pot, you would have gone missing in 2007-2008.

I know I am on their shit list.

Does anyone know about the fleet of national security council vans that are waiting for the go ahead, to do a massive sweep, to pick up 1 million Americans, and permanently detain them for the future crimes that they anticipate those Americans will "inevitably" commit? Sounds to me like they just want an excuse to weed people out who might rise up against the new regime.

Borne,

You need to read the ACLU's report before you go backing the wrong horse. The government can take and detain ANYONE suspected of being a terrorist even THOUSANDS of miles from the military conflict.

Of course the LOL's would support such an action as it would help preserve their precious "government checks".

I do think if such an atrocity were committed, there would be many more millions who would fill the breech.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Leo

This is one of those days when money slips through your fingers in no time at all unless you're very vigilant about your spending habits. Unfortunately, it will be difficult to stop yourself splashing out whenever the fancy takes you, whether or not you can afford it. You're especially drawn to tempting little treats and luxurious indulgences.
