He has slipped that one in their back door just as the lenders did to the homebuyers and taxpayers that bailed them out. They didn't see this coming just as they hid the shenangans from us. They loaned money on homes, as much as anyone wanted which was a planned scam. Many people took the bait set before them by the lenders. You're right times are achanging, maybe the time has come for them to pay the piper for a change. No one will ever know, but I would like to know the total amount of money that will be poured to the republicans campain on advertising by the lending institutions in hopes of ousting Obama. I would guess that everyone on our local topix could retire comfortably with a summer home and jet with the money given by the institutions in hopes of removing Obama.

You.....are......DEAD.....WRON G!!! I have listed them in bullet points so it is easy to follow. Obama-care REQUIRES you to purchase insurance. If you do not purchase insurance you WILL be fined. If you do not pay a fine issued by the federal government, one of the MANY responses at their disposal is PRISON TIME. (Little hint for you, Borne. Try not paying your income taxes and see what happens to you. It is truly remarkable how little you liberals know about your government and what it can AND HAS done.)

Born is right about the banking industry bleeding the nation's resources for their own gain and the republicans "don't need no stinking financial regulations" protection of banks, big business and Wallstreet against small business and ordinary citizens. Even the word republican has become almost synonymous with corruption, bribes, immorality and dishonesty in general. Many democrats are not far behind. When the supreme court ruled that super pacs are legal and that unlimited money could be given to them, democracy was in effect ,cancelled. With Speaker of the House Bainer handing out PAC checks on the house floor and the court considering allowing cash contributions directly to the candidates, democracy cannot return until the bribery is stopped. Our discussion is of how Obama's government CAN put you in PRISON if you do not buy insurance, are then fined, and refuse to pay the fine. If I am wrong, then you prove it. As I am ONE HUNDRED PER CENT CORRECT on this, you will be whistling in the wind. Your man continues to sign legislation which removes our rights and all the liberals can say is, "You are not losing any of your rights." If it was not so absurd, it would be comical.

Just as you can be fined and put in prison for not paying your taxes. Government is full of fines. Go ask Newt Gingrich.

Personally, I like the new health care law. I buy insurance because I might get sick again and need it. Especially since just two days in the hospital racked up a total bill of over $36,000 dollars. So I like knowing that the insurance companies cannot cancel me out like they were doing to folks before . Employers have pretty much stopped providing employee health plans which is another reason to have insurance. I see the health care controversy as just yet another issue that republicans have picked to belly ache, complain, moan and whine about because their candidate didn't win the election 3 years ago. Right now, many folks have to get into prison just to get health coverage. Also, many states are emptying out prisons because they cannot afford to hold them. So it is doubtful that persons would be sent to prison because they didnt pay their insurance premium. Their insurance premium would be a drop in the bucket compared to incarceration costs. This is just some more of the republican chicken little's sky is falling BS.

$71,000,000 dollars paid to congressmen in the last 2 years for insider trading information. If evenly divided, that would be over $131,000 per congress person. But it didnt divide that way because Republican Speaker of the House John Boener and republican Eric Cantor got the most of it. Republican Richard Burr helped also. Incredible! The Speaker of the US House of Representatives being the most corrupt POS in congress. Republicans, standing tall for insider trading.

Not at all what we intended. Now that they are caught and there is public outrage, each party wants to be the one to take credit for the bill to abolish it. I do like the fact that Obama want to strengthen the bill futher by prohibiting elected officials from owning stocks in industries they impact. What took you people so long?

North Carolina has become even more famous now that Patric McHenry has joined Eric Cantor, Richard Burr and John Boehner in watering down the congressional insider trading law. And TR is right, there are as many republicans that bear their asses as democrats....AS you say..... THAT's A FACT. How do you justify only condemning Dems in this practice? I know your a cross between a republican and teabagger, a mutt, kerr, ect;(pun intended) thats fine. Awhile back I wanted the teaparty change myself until I saw the vultures that were emerging from it. But why defend them when you know better. If the TP were the main majority in DC you would find in the closet rumpriders and pole climbers there too.

However, the majority of democrats support abortion and homosexuality. The majority of republicans do not. You are welcome to google the stats if you feel the need. Be proud of who you are. I choose to support a child's right to live. If you or your party do not, either go with it proudly or change parties. We, libertarians, would welcome a new member who was sincere.

Un is deceived by what the republicans SAY as opposed to what they DO. For instance, one of the more famous republican "rump riders" was Larry Craig (foot tapper)who railed constantly in the halls of congress about the evils of homosexuality, until---he was caught and arrested trolling for male sex in an airport bathroom. Like Rush Limbaugh railing for years on talk radio against drug use---until--- he was caught abusing oxycodone. Like Boehner, Cantor, Burr, McHenry , etc railing for frugality in government while raking in PAC money (bribes) to protect budget busting tax breaks for the rich. Dishonesty and corruption have become the trademark of the majority of republicans as evidenced by their chosen leaders .

I don't blame you for claiming to be a libertarian. But at the mere mention of the vast corruption in the republican leadership and the astounding ignorance of the TP, you jump to their defense. You have once again showed your erroneous ways by confusing defense versus offense. My post showed no defense of republican actions and misdeeds. It merely pointed out the fallacies of the democrats. Please try to use logic when you read. It will keep you from looking like such a simpleton.

What damages the credibility of your claim is that you always get emotional and start with the name calling personal attacks on anyone who dares post concerning the widespread corruption, hypocrisy, stupidity and dishonesty which has become the republican trade mark. So if your argument is not a defense of those republican slime balls, what lurks behind the hostility and name calling of individual posters? I notice that your feathers remain unruffeled when reports are made on the errant democrats. That contrast doesn't fit your libertarian self portrait.
