Mogino's Italian Greek Restaurant

Thank you, LC. I have heard that Mogino's Italian food was good, but I was terribly disappointed in what they call Greek food. I will have to try their alfredo sauce sometime. If it can beat Meedo's that's saying a lot, for Meedo's has the best I've found anywhere.

I agree that it's a shame that some would want to ruin the reputation of a business/person for a personal grudge. We need all the legitimate businesses here that we can get. There should be room for Mogino's AND Meedo's, according to personal taste. No reason for it to be either/or.

But, as time has went on, the quality of their food has went downhill, portion sizes have gotten smaller & the service(mostly) isn't friendly either....which is really unfair to the customer, while they've raised their prices doing so. I don't mind to pay for high quality, well-portioned food as long as it is worth it & served with kindness & gratitude. We, the customers ARE your livelihood....and we should be treated as such!
We've ate at Mogino's several times now. They have consistently served delicious food & given us our money's worth without over-charging us for every little thing. Most importantly though, they are friendly & show their appreciation for our business.
Don't get me wrong, I used to LOVE Meedo's & IF they could get back to how they "used to be", I would frequent their establishment again. I wish them the best in correcting the error of their ways!

I can certainly understand the discomfort due to lack of AC, and they shouldn't have acted annoyed that the heat bothered you. Could be that as hot as you were sitting there, they were even hotter running back and forth to the un-airconditoned kitchen.:)

I didn't know that Meedo's had cucumber sauce,(Mogino's does) but yes, sometimes it seems that every little thing is an extra charge. Maybe it's because they're trying to keep prices down in the long run...I don't know. I'm sure their prices have gone up too.

I will say that I've always been treated courteously at Meedo's though. I've been there with large groups, and the wait staff has even thanked us for being patient and pleasant to serve. I've been well treated at Mogino's as well. One waitress even said that she would pass on my suggestions re: their "Greek" dishes, but if she did, obviously it didn't matter. That's fine though..I found a great Greek restaurant in Hickory...suggested by someone here, I believe.
:) I'm sure I'll get around to trying Mogino's again for something different. Thanks for relating your experience. Maybe both places can benefit by learning how we, as customers feel.

Why they telling people that they are Greek????They are NOT Greek!!!!!!!!!!WHOULD YOU TELL ME WHERE ARE THEY FROM????Since you work for them!!!!!!why would they lie????? i know the answer ,however I want to hear it from you ...

I myself eat at Meedos at least three time a week.I have no problem with any of the waitresses,matter of factmost of them are really nice ladies.I have got to know Meedo pretty well and his really is a nice guy,if you have a problem with something just ask to speak to him and i,m sure he will handle it.If you tip the waitresses well they are great, but you are probally one of those who just like to complain or better yet you may be one of the owners of Moginos trying to run his name in the ground to better you business.I will continue to eat at Meedos and will try to get him as many customers as possible.

happy for ya bub. my average tip starts at a five spot and I have been known to do ten. as for me working for Mogino's, barkin up the wrong tree again...I'm just a paying customer that appreciates the level of customer service and quality of food I get there. I used to get it at Meedo's but that is used to be.

oh, and for your comment about complaining, Yep, if my food is nothing but crap, you skippy I am going to complain. There are three things a waitress and a business owner had better learn quick:
Waitresses, keep the drink glasses full and concentrate on the ladies-they are usually the ones that pick up the tips while the men take care of the check, and don't make your customer have to come and look for you.

Business owners:
Listen to your customers for feed back-a lot of times all it takes is watching your staff to determine if that complaint is true or not.
Be consistant with your quality of food-don't start out giving me A1 stuff if you plan on dropping it down to cheaper....I ain't going to appreciate that too much.
Don't get so greedy that you cut staff to bear minimum and expect your customers to hang around and wait for your overworked staff to deliver their meals. They will get up and leave, trust me.

There is always plenty waitresses when I have been to Meedo's, yet service is lacking.

There is one waitress on duty at Mogino's. I have never had to ask her for more drink-as a matter of fact, she has consistantly checked back with us about every 10 minutes to see if we needed anything.

Now you tell me, one waitress covering all of Mogino's by herself, or a team that can't even make sure your tea glass has anything in it...

Marking me as clueless is just making me more determined that I am not going back to Meedo's.

of course if there are only 2 cars in the parking lot then she should me able to fill your glass and run the whole place herself.

We ate a Moginos and loved it. The portions are really big. I ordered a large calzone and ate from it 3 different times. The wings were also great. We'll be back.

I have heard that they are closing the restaurant by the end of the month.. seems like they dont have enough business..
They make evvery one work there to park their cars on the front...(one of their server told me that).

I have never eaten at either of these restaurants, nor can I give a critique on the quality of food, portion size, or service. However, it sounds like these establishments are trying to offer an alternative to the "SUPER SIZE IT" mentality or the "ALL YOU CAN EAT" grazing which seems to be the status-quo in this area. Best of luck to both and hopefully will have the chance to patronize both establishments.

do not worry about meedo's is not your businees they already closed ha ha lol just take of your business first ha ha lol

funny that the last time I ate there a couple weeks ago, the dining room was full with customers.

is so funny only people from meedo's they kept talkin about it i know mogino's they doin great and they had good business and they will still open 4ever to serve lenoir people and if u do not like 2 eat there then do not there are many restaurant u know what i mean good luck cuz i know u
