My buddy and I was fishing a tournement back in the fall down at Castle Bridge. We were in my boat about a half mile above the bridge near the Goat Farm Rd area. We were hearing something in the woods that at first we thought might be deer moving around. My buddy shined his flashlight in the direction of the sound and we got a brief glimpse of something. It definately not a deer. Whatever this was was crouched down near the edge of the water and when the light hit it it stood up and stepped back into the trees. Since I am a hunter I know this was not a deer or a bear. I dont know what it was. Has anybody else ever seen anything in that area?

May have been a Flatfoot, instead of a Bigfoot... Maybe one of the wives thinks you guys are into some monkey business.

I have heard of BF sightings in South Mts. and Uwharrries of NC.
Maybe you startled a bear and it raised up and crashed off.
I am open to the idea of BF- people who legitmately have up close meetings pretty much describe same thing, apelike primate behavior, tossing rocks, signalling by whitsle and beating on trees with branches and sometimes rock tosssing.
Always with a bad smell in the air. I don't think the average joe or jane has read primers on great ape behaviors- could be a reclusive great ape in woods. Some could have migrated east following deer herds. I remember as a kid no coyotes, few foxes, had to go to mts to see a deer.

Considering I work 6pm to 6am I did not see the tv show that was mentioned. We were talking on break about unusal things we have seen and I brought this incident up. I got a lot of joking about what happened so I figured I would just ask and see if anybody else had encountered something similar. I can understand why nobody wants to come forward and report what they see. Who wants to be made fun of? I know what we heard and saw was not something I can explain.

We didnt have a gun because we were fishing. I have never seen anything like this when I am out hunting. I am in the treestand before daylight. I think that is one reason this has me so puzzled. I have always wondered why if so many people see these things why hasnt somebody shot one. Maybe there is an intellegence there that has enabled survival. Who knows. I think tv shows or whatever are staged. I mean I have fished and hunted for nearly 35 years and this was the only time I can honestly say I dont know what we saw. I thought possibly a bear but something about the way it stepped back into the trees didnt fit what I have seen bears do when they are startled. Usually they turn around and leave, not just step backward. Maybe it was a bear. Like I said, who knows.

In my opinion it would be a shame to kill one just to prove it exists. I do believe "they" are out there in the remote places all over the world. Big foot, Yeti, skunk ape, etc.......I hope one is never captured. If they are they'll end up in a zoo or be forced to breed just to satisfy man's curiosity?? UGH!

Puzzled, didn't mean to offend you. Your story does sound like the one that aired last night! lol :) Your fortunate to have had the experience.

Breed a Bigfoot? Truth would have it killed thinking the government was gonna have to keep it up cause it can't work. New species, Bigfooted breeder bitches. What if only one is captured, who gets the pleasure?

That one is easy.

If the Big Foot is a male, you, Mikey Duquette, and Gimme would all stand in line to let him have his turn. It would even jive well with your (LOL's) stance on gay marriage and beastiality. You could take care of so many issues with just one action.

(Borne, you make these too easy. Please give some thought before you lay it out there so neat and clean.)

No No. If it was female I was going to volunteer just to give you another mouth to feed. I can see it now, Truth delivering food to the Bigfooted kids in the Goat Farm Ghettos.

No problem, you didnt offend me. I got a lot of jokes and smart remarks at work last night. I will probably have to listen to it until somebody else comes along to pick on. Lol. Do you know if that tv show is coming back on? If it does post on here when and where. I would like to record it and see if there are any similarities. I just dont think the same people see stuff like this on a regular basis to make a tv show about it. Hell, I would starve if I were being paid to see them.

Seriously Puzzled, not to give you a hard time. Did you think to look for tracks at the waters edge or did you get the heck outta there as quick as you could? If you're going back in a day or so the sign may still be there. If it would have happened to me no one would ever find tracks. The tracks would have been covered with crap, mine. Always carry a camera, gun, and toilet paper.

We were fishing a night tournement and to be honest neither one of us said a thing about trying to look for tracks. Besides it would have been too shallow to try to get the boat near enough to the bank. If there is something there I would like to have more than a trolling motor to depend on getting me out of there.

So now you are making fun of people who volunteer to deliver food to the needy or are you poking fun at those in need?

Neither, just the vain that calls the people they "supposedly" help names behind their backs.

Reality check....No Bigfoot has ever requested home delivery from you or anyone as far as I know no matter how hungry. There's no Goat Farm Rd. projects for you to deliver to. What Puzzled probably saw was you hiding out at the river over the Christmas holidays because you were afraid you may be asked to buy someone a gift. I'll bet that did scare the whizz outta him.

It is sad to see such a "taker" as yourself. If you would just take a few minutes of your day and try to help those around you who are less fortunate, I believe you would find the peace you are so desperately seeking.

Puzzeled, you'd be surprised how many sightings there have been over hundreds of years! The pacific northwest is the main hot spot in the US. Check this link out http://animal.discovery.com/tv/finding-bigfoo...

If I can find that episode I mentioned I'll post it for you.

I'm not sticking my neck into your noose, you have to be quicker than that. You don't know me but I will bet(if you'll be truthful) that you know better than what you just posted about me. You and I need to take a fishing trip and get better aquainted.

This marks the second time you have invited me to go alone with you onto the lake. I have some concerns with that.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Virgo

You're feeling restless and need to introduce as much variety into your day as possible. However, you'll want this to be on your own terms, and you certainly won't like it if plans are changed without your consent or you feel you've lost control of the situation. Try to take everything in your stride, otherwise you'll end up feeling exhausted and frazzled.
