Im scrared of things I dont understand and I dont like change so yes. Homo's are of the devil and they will eat our children, grab a pitchfork and some torches. lmao We all know how this vote will go, NC is still in the 19th century and it shows, 49th in education lol. Im sure they're enough preachers out there to scare the crap out of people to vote yes. You will burn in hell fire forever if you vote no.

Sure I think it should be okay for a man and a woman to marry. Why not? What, someone said they shouldn't?

Oh my goodness!! Two people who are in love - get married?! This should never happen! Though church and state are separated - let's keep this part of "church" in our state! Let's take away human rights and write hate into our constitution! Let's rejoice in the fact that while heterosexual couples can get married and divorced over and over...homosexuals can't even get their 30+ year relationship recognized by the government. If we're going to incorporate select biblical "laws" in our state might as well go with all of them. Did you know the Bible actually states that if a bride has already been "de-flowered" before her marriage - she shall be stoned to death? Let's add that in our constitution too! Let us as North Carolinians take a step backward and hold back human rights from those homosexuals (since they're less human than us)..I mean soon..if we legalize homosexual marriage people will want to marry DOGS! You know - since dogs actually have intelligent thought processes and are working citizens that contribute to our society. Let's keep the right to marry the one you love between those who truly deserve it - us judgmental heterosexuals that could marry as many times as we want! Vote for marriage to be only between a man and a woman! I mean heck - we were one of the last states to approve of interracial marriage - why not just stay behind and let the whole nation get ahead of us in this evolution of human rights. Yay!!! Let's keep marriage as straight as the wedding bands we wear on our fingers!

See how well it serves you.... after all, its your right to choose what ever you want....but then there will be no restraint, so it won't matter what you want.... because there will be those who will not ask, they will just take. that is the end result of no moral limits.

Lemme explain something. YOU DON'T GET TO ENFORCE YOUR MORALITY ON OTHER PEOPLE. If it is not harming someone else... it's none of your business, and not for you to decide. These are your opinions, and you are entitled to them. It is my opinion that Nickleback is a terrible band, but I'm not trying to get a law made preventing bad musicians from making albums. That's because... I have the choice to IGNORE the things I don't like.

who said anything about inforcing anything on anybody? I simply said that you all will have the planet to yourselves soon enough....then you can do what ever you want to and so can everyone else that is here... I know of a situation involving a physically handicapped man in a wheel chair dependant on others for his care-his male cna is his lover... his lover is tired of fooling with him and is now neglecting his care... so that is alright? It's not harming me, and the handicapped man is in the relationship with the caregiver... so guess it sucks to be the handicapped homosexual man according to your logic...

He's harming the handicapped man. Neglect is abuse when someone can't take care of them. Anything else?

Anything else? the handicapped man is a consensual adult with no mental issues at all-only physical. He chooses to remain in the relationship. it is his right to do so, even when there are follow ups by agencies concerning his care.

I want a vote that says once a man and woman are married, they MUST always stay married. The government should determine what kind of sex they can have and when. As long as we want the government in our bedrooms, it should affect everyone, right?

As long as we want the government in our bedrooms, it should affect everyone, right? Oh but they already do. In NC and many other bible belt states such things like oral sex and anal are against the law even between married couples. There was a judge not to long ago in Charlotte that was sentencing people for long jail terms for these things and people living together unmarried.

I can say without a doubt that Im straight and always will be but I have had many gay friends over the years and they never once judged me for being straight nor did I feel they were a threat to me. They always had respect for my way of life and were respectful of others in general. Im sure there are plenty of bad or mean gay people but all the ones I know are fine upstanding and productive members of the community. They have a better grasp of whats moral than many so called christians I know. They for the most part believe in God and even go to church but they dont judge others if they dont, I suppose they understand what being judged is like all to well. As far as friends go I would rather keep company with the gays I know than the so called christian judgemental people I see every day.

Another thing that bugs me is the fact that so many christians came to this country seeking religious freedom yet as soon as they set foot over here they started to judge and label others. Once upon a time they were hunted and killed for what they believe yet as soon as they were on top they did this to others and continue to judge and label others, oh how easily they forget.

Interesting that everything seems to turn into Christian bashing by some of the people who claim to be so damn "tolerant." I don't respect that brand of "tolerance." It's not tolerant... just more extremist bigotry. Only it's aimed in a different direction. Why not grow up? Vote whatever you WANT to vote, people. No one is stopping you. If you're standing on such moral high ground that you think you know all the right answers for this world, I would think you wouldn't feel the need to go on the attack of people who think differently than you at every opportunity. And, you DO. In my opinion, you're just as much of a fringe nutjob as extremists on the other end of the spectrum you claim to hate.
