Farragut middle schooler dies after zip-line accident

The accident occurred at a place called Horn's Creek Resort near Ococee, TN. He was on a retreat with the Middle School & High School youth from Two Rivers Church. This was a very tragic event that has both shocked our congregation as well as brought us closer together through prayer. We don't always understand God's will, but we know it is perfect, even in times like this. Zach is no longer with us, but he has been completely healed of his injuries, and tonight will dine with his Heavenly Father.

Our prayers will be with this family.

I personally did not know Zach Weimer, but he rode my bus. Today I was told about his accident. It was a very emotional day! Everyone in 7th grade green pod wad shedding tears. I know that his accident involved him colliding with a ladder that was not moved where it should've been. I can tell you that even though I didn't know him my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who has had any of a relationship with Zach Weimer. I know that hearing about this and looking him up in my yearbook to see what he looked like made me burst into tears. I will never forget him.

Momma, I didn't know this little boy, but God does, and I pray for comfort for the family...both his biological family and his church family. This was one of those stories that just touched my heart so much that it left me without words.

Our church service tonight was about God's grace, and I'm praying right now, that he gives you and your church family sustaining grace and comfort. God bless you.

Zachary was a friend of mine from Kindergarten up until he moved to Tennessee in the 5th Grade. He was a nice and friendly kid who loved playing all kinds of sports. I used to play football with him at school all the time. I am very sad about his recent death, and my thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

Yes...and he reminded me of that tonight. I knew the message was for me the minute the preacher read the text. He read from 2 Corinthians, Chapter 12. I'm sure you're familiar with it.
Momma, my heart aches for you and your congregation, but I know that God will carry you. Take comfort in that knowledge.

God has blessed me in ways that I can't even understand. Thank you for your words, Momma. You are one of those blessings.

I hope when it comes my time to quit this world that I am doing something as noble and decent as taking kids on a retreat when it happens.

Our youth group was at Horn's Creek when this happened... we are all very sad about this loss... we are praying for you in Birmingham!! God bless you during this time... we are lifting you up!!

This is very sad, my heart is with this young boy's family at this time.

It is always very sad when a life so young passes and is no longer with us. It is hard to understand and it is to say the very least heartwrenching.

My prayers are with you and hopes that the pain eases and the family is able to move forward with life knowing that their son is an angel looking upon them.

god rest his soul dont pray for zach
pray for his family because zach is no longer here
god saw that he was getting sick and a cure was not to be so he put his arms around him and whispered come home with me with tearful eyes we watched him suffer and saw him fade away athough we loved him dearly we could not make him stay a golden heart stoped beating a determined spirit was at rest god broke hearts to prove to us he only takes the best

i am still grieving over zachary every single min. i think of him in what a success he has done in the world . he has a purpose in leaving we just dont know why his family is doing a great job in handling this young boys death i didnt know zach but my little sister was in his pod may thay little angel rest in peace

i'm very soory i do not know him but i will pray for the family i hope they do good

I know what it like to lose a son and there are no words to bring this family peace, but They are a family of faith and God will bring them the peace and comfort that only he can do, as they grieve. My prayers are with all the family and friends.
