It is amazing to me how children are faced with predators, gangs, and the such, but tragically the one's they trust the most are the one's putting one's in harms way. How sad!! This just shows you the power drugs has on people.

people like this are a pathetic excuse for people. the child is probably lucky it is still alive. being in healthcare i see so many people that live for nothing more than a shot of pain medication and it is pitiful, most of these people also have tenncare, which they dont need. bet these ladies had it too.

Her sister died a few years ago of a drug overdose. She left behind three children. You would have thought that would have been a lesson learned. Luckily all these children have grandparents that are able to take care of them. She needs to look at her life and think about this effects her children.

Wow! I didn't expect to see Laura Headlee reporting this as she is the daughter of soon-to-be-retired Loudon County School Supt., Edward Headlee.

If this is true, do you think the kids are "lucky" to have the grandparents raise them? Seems like they already have two failed attempts at parenting.
Why aren't the fathers of these children involved in the care of these children? This is child endangerment, drug abuse, criminal activity, and probably more degenerate behavoir by adult women, who showed no concern for the child with them, nor the children who attend the school where they were caught.

An unfortunate incident...drugs seem to be SO pervasive and their effect is SO destructive.

Drugs are a true poison in our social system. How many lives have been tormented, families damaged and lives lost to this ever-present rot....???

May God bless us all - no exceptions !!

Has anyone considered that these two women may have been in severe pain ? I think they've suffered enough. Time for the authorities to move on.
Give me a break. For one if they were in pain they would just take meds that the doctor prescribed and I'm sure the doctor did not perscribe what they were doing. For two who in their right mind does this in front of a 5 yr old child.
