Alleged Lennox drug dealer shot dead

It's been a month scents he was executed by a sheriff and I MISS HIM SO MUCH!!! The very last time I saw or talked to him was on July21.

For all you that think you know what the police should, or could of done in these type of situations, Miss Cleo's job on the phsycic hot-line is availiable. You dont know anything about Police work, situational awareness, procedure, or what its like to face death nightly on your job. But, you run your mouths like you know it all. If so, why dont you put your expertice to work for you. Get off assistance, become an officer. They are hiring, and since most of you are minorities crying the race thing, you will be hired first. Then, after a few months on the job, you can see yourself what they deal with. OR, instead of calling the police everytime you need help, handle it yourself. I wouldnt blame the police for just walking off the job in some of these f'd up hoods, and turning it over to the thugs. Thanks to people like you condeming they're actions like a bunch of arm-chair quarterbacks, the thugs are winning.

He put himself in that situation. Why should a cop assume less than the worst in that situation? Unfortunately, city council will probably award the family a nice cash settlement, and my taxes will go up, again.

He was selling drugs for crying out loud. As they say, you sleep in the bed you make. If the cops hadn't shot him, someone else would have. Besides, I don't want anyone offering the youngsters in this great country drugs. It's not like he was being productive to society. What a waste. I give more respect for the wetbacks that work hard for their money. You cholos and cholas give Mexicans a bad name.

I'd be interested to know how all of the people assuming the deputies were right would feel if they were facing state prison after a Deputy decided to plant guns or drugs on them because they were young and black or Hispanic. The Deputy knows judges and jurors will believe whatever he says because he is one of the "good guys" and no one will believe a young minority at the Torrance courthouse, where the case will end up. This has been a common occurence among Lennox Sheriffs. A person who lies to put someone in prison is a criminal and doesn't deserve to walk the streets themself, much less wear a badge.

By the way, what evidence is there that Mr. Portillo was dealing drugs? Second, why does the LASD refuse to release the names of the Deputies involved?

Does it really matter what the situation was in this case. The guy has probably done some really bad things in the past that render him a piece of slime, Just another dirt ball out of the way. I wish the cops would go hunting down in south central and knock off a few more that deserve it.
