Okay, that's number 2 for the day. Where will number 3 happen? And what will it be?

1. Beer
2. Flammable fluids
3. Nuclear waste?

Isn't I-55 where the truckers were all protesting the high diesel fuel costs? What's with I-55 and truckers?

Could see it from my bedroom window. Finally put fire out at 6:45. Beleive they had to wait for foam. Dangerous ramp, often have spinouts becuase people take it too fast. Tanker truck should know better.

That is not the only reason. People driving cars do not realize that trucks take a lot longer to stop. If a semi is cut off, it can get very messy. My dad drives for Yellow.

Tractor/Trailer rollover fires do not have to occur, but they do because the tractor is forced to participate in these imminent catastrophic events. The trailer is the dominant force and the energy to force the tractor to participate is transmitted thru the trailer's KINGPIN. The flash point for fires associated with rollovers starts at the tractor with its hot engine, exhaust, and electrical sparking. Google search "DEFORMABLE KINGPIN". This proposal would function the same as a fuse or circuit breaker within an electrical system -- to prevent further destruction. The FMCSA and NHTSA are well aware of this concept and choose to ignore it. These rollovers will continue to occur thousands of times each year and cause great financial destruction and harm and death to tractor occupants. The standard KINGPIN of the trailer is antiquated and obsolete as it was designed well over 70 years ago and used to this day.

My thoughts and prayers to the driver of this truck!
Anything could have happened to make this truck flip - he didn't have to be driving to fast - he may have known the truck was on fire and took it into the ditch to avoid crashing or hurting anyone else -
These guys know the roads and they know how to control those rigs - a tire could have blown out - he was trying to avoid an accident - anything is possible - yes, it is possible he could have been going to fast for that ramp - that is a new area out there after all that construction - who knows - I just hope this guy is safe - God Bless

We understand you got the patent for this. You dont have to advertise your patent here if no one uses it.

The trailer would obviously overturn too becoz of the momentum, if it falls off the ramp even if it has the kingpin installed you are talking abt
