This poll is nice to see how many are for or against the issue, but it achieves nothing. Get in touch with Jason Thomas and sign the petition if you are a citizen of Leitchfield. Just call the radio station or one of the newspapers and they will tell you how to get in touch with him.

Does anything on this website achieve anything? I didn't think so. If you are in favor of a wet or moist Leitchfield or county, just find a petition and sign it!!

There's also a lot of money to be made by the liquor licenses and any possible tax on the alcohol sold as well. Even if it is only sold in restaurants by the drink it will help Leitchfield. Certain big named restaurants won't open up and move here unless they can sell alcohol. This will create more jobs if it happens. All they need is 2,500 signatures on the petition to get this on the ballot.

Now don't go getting all your feathers ruffled saying that there are going to be drunks running up and down the roads cause Lord knows we have enough of them...What I am saying in order to atract more business....GOOD eating places, tourist, and maybe more employement for our local people it would help if Grayson County were MOIST. Not liwuer stores on every corner just a drink or two in a nice eating facility would be nice. Eliazabethtown has profitted greatly from this and I think we could too! Heck we are dying, may as well give it a try.

It's really the only way this town will ever have anything. I say Bring It. I'm ready for something else to eat and something to do. It's about time L-field came up and plus it adds revenue to the community. Bring It. Vote Yes!

You claim we will get big name restaurants if we can sell alcohol. LIES! These restaurant chains look at the local economy and if it can support their chain. Just selling alcohol is not the reason a town will get an O'Charlies. In Leitchfield, we can even show enough population and economy to support a White Castle and you think we can get a Texas Roadhouse....lol@you!
Also, Elizabethtown had the means to support those chains before they passed the sales of alcohol in that city. In fact, they had a Tumbleweed and O'Charlies for years before that city passed the sales laws.

In case you have not noticed, the majority of citizens in Grayson Co. are struggling due to losing most of the jobs here.

Please get educated before you make yourself look stupid on here.

But wouldn't bringing in these places benefit alot of people. Think of all the construction workers here, the electricians and others that could build the places, then what about the cooks, waiters, hostess, managers.

Did you not read anything above what you quoted of me? WE DO NOT HAVE THE POPULATION TO SUPPORT A LARGE CHAIN RESTAURANT.

By your logic, Flaherty Ky, would have all these national chain restaurants. They sell alcohol there both, by the package and drink. They have for at least 20 years that I know of. Why hasnt their town gotten a Logans or a Buckheads? In fact NOWHERE in Meade Co. do you find any such chain. Go figure....

Let me educate you all. There are three things that a restaurant needs to come into any town. 1. Location near a major highway. 2. A pool of 75,000 people 3. The ability to serve alcohol. They will take two out of three in certain circumstances.

Where do you get your information? Could you cite a resource?

It's the truth. Can't cite my resource. You don't have to believe it if you don't want to. Just thought I would try to educate everyone. If you really want to know just call some restaurants, if they will talk to you they will tell you the same thing.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Gemini

It's easy to become distracted and confused because your mind is wandering about in all sorts of different directions. You're also in a highly impressionable state so will believe almost anything you're told now, whether it's true or a total flight of fancy. Be wary of muddling others by only telling them half the story or letting your imagination fill in any gaps.
