Hi my name is Sharon. I have 3 kids, 1 of them being a teenage boy. He is constently complaining that there is nothing to do here in Pampa. What can we do to get some activities for our teens to do besides going to the skate park. If there are things we don't know about please let me know. Thanks.

Well, You can contact the local chamber of commerce. But it will do you no good. Movie theater opens then some one protests a movie and they shut it down, Arcade opens, someone complains that the games are violent so they shut it down. Every time something comes there for the kids. Some one far more conservative then I complains and it gets shut down. I lived there for 10 years. My children were born there. Before they got out of first grade I new it was no longer the town for us. So we packed up and Moved.
I will never ever regret that decision. I love Texas and I especially love small town America. But the most backwards place Ive ever seen in this country was in fact a beautiful little town with so much potential named Pampa. Drugs, teen pregnancy and corruption can be found anywhere. I will be the first to admit that, But Pampa truly shocked me. Good Luck to you.
