O.K. Zena, I'll take you up your desire to discuss the news and opinions, but I'll also tie it to this event. I'll start with expressing my condolences to the family of Mr. Hopkins. But here is the issue - in my opinion - the DeRidder Police Department seems to prefer to label thinks as suicide rather than even consider the possibility of an accident. In fact, I was informed by one of their detectives that a gunshot death could ONLY be a homicide or suicide - no accidental option. The Sheriff's Office doesn't seem to have this mind set. What are your thoughts on this?

The person who was there the night of the shooting has a relative on the police force. Other members of the force who asked to review the record were denied access.

i hope he is burning in hell...you know that is what is happens when you commit suicide. you have children dying from cancer in hospitals , fighting to stay alive and you have this piece of garbage killing himself ...good thing he done it.

Something tells me that Mr. Obama would be dismayed that you are using his name when taking such a position. I'd never claim to know what was going through anyone's mind when they commit such an act, and I pray every day that I never do know. Frankly, I'm a little more distressed by those who threaten or "attempt" in order to get attention or manipulate. Are you as passionate about people who waste food when there are starving children everywhere? But back to my original query, does anyone have anything to add to my perception about DeRidder's Police force's treatment of unnatural deaths?
Obama needs to go

I know one guy involved in a murder that suppose to have died...the grave where he was put wasn't even dug.He went into Federal protection to keep from getting his ass killed. The judge, cops and more were involved in the money scandall.Everyone will pay one way or another .They have too meet the Maker sooner or later.
