What is it with you cityfolks moving to the country and buying half-a-dozen dogs for the "Kids"? within 6 months all the care you give them is dump a bowl of dogfood out the door once a day. The dogs pack up and roam the countryside killing livestock and wildlife. You don't want to know how many have been shot by irate landowners.

I think if a ban is going to happen, it needs to be based on facts and TRUE knowledge. Any person voting on a ban against a particular breed should be educated on the matter they are voting for or against. But, if that would actually happen (in a perfect, world) there would never be a vote because people would actually realize these breed-specific bans are unsound and ridiculous. There are no "vicious breeds". There ARE dangerous DOGS...individual dogs...but that could be anything from a chihuahua to a poodle to a pit or rottie or german shepard dog or...well, you get the point.
Out of fear and misguided trust in our media (blech!) we make some very poor judgements and decisions. Unfortunately, in this case, living creatures suffer for the ignorance of others.
For every "bad" pit story you read, there are literally millions of good stories about them. They are most often family dogs, they often live happily with other pets with not so much as a snip or snarl. I guess I should be honest here...I've been 'hurt' by a pit bull. I mean, it smarted when their wiggle-butt tails whomped me because they were too excited to see me to contain themselves. I also got a small bruise when, in a fit of laughter from being smothered in pittie kisses, I fell over on sidewalk.
So, if you're one who lives in fear of these dogs, please do yourselves, us and the dogs a favor...try educating yourselves on what a bully breed REALLY is instead of being led to believe falsifications from the media, like a bunch of blind sheep.

I love pit bulls. Its not the dogs fault how they turn out,why dont you hold the owners responsible for the way they bring up their dogs. I had to give mine away because they baned pit bulls in Independence. My dog PRINCESS is a loving and sweet dog. She never hurt anyone, tell me hows that fair to her. We raised her around everyone. Princess was around kids and they we're really rough with her, they jumped on her and pulled on her. Never once did she ever bite anyone. Quite picking on pit bulls.

Pit bulls are a POS breed. I think the breed needs to be wiped off the face of the planet. How many people have to be killed / mutilated by Pit bulls for us to realize that this is not a stable dog. And for you avid owners, don't fret, you will be just as happy owning a Golden retreiver or lab, and not as many people will die. Get over yourselves and kill the stupid dogs.

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Aquarius

You're very feisty and energetic and there's a lot you want to achieve. You'll get rather impatient if anyone stands in your way. A close emotional relationship will either be sexy and exciting beyond belief, or bad-tempered and tetchy. If you're in a grumpy mood, try to work out why - and what would improve matters. One thing that's bound to help is physical exercise, because it will burn off any excess nervous energy.
