The only salvation for Birmingham is for all the surrounding municipalities such as Mtn Brook, Vestavia, Homewood, Hoover, Gardendale and others to form one government and take over Birmingham.
The constant fighting, poor image, lack of leadership proves this downtown group in power both in city and county are unable to manage anything.
What an embarrassment to rename the Bham Airport for Shuttlesworth. It will take a majority of solid thinking true Southerners to straighten out this mess of self serving greed and corruption.

Politicians in Birmingham measure success by having their names printed on street and highway signs.
The striking thing about it is that the roads are not named after them AFTER a lifetime of service and, after they've retired, as was once common.
Now they are named for them while they are still very much in office.
What they fail to remember is that street signs change ... and change, and change...
