I'm a professional, educated gay man considering a move to the Round Top area. Are gay men welcome there? Much homophobia? Is it a live-and-let-live atmosphere? I'm not the type that would wear a feather boa and heels to the LaGrange H.E.B....more of a boots 'n jeans kinda guy.

I think you will be fine :) I am in Carmine ( sister town) and there is at least one couple there I have seen... it is an antiquing community...small farm town also...there are always close minded people but nice place to live... you will enjoy it here !
