I noticed the Open house at the nursery didn't produce any board members to represent the RCD, or at least I didn't see anybody.

What a bunch of disinterested, lazy, no-nothing ladder climbers

The Pres. of this Org. needs to be replaced with a more conscientious person who doesn't look for ways to get around the Brown Act. Also somebody who takes an interest in the agency, instead of thinking riding a horse is more important than attending a meeting.

Micro-managing by remote control, spending $25.000 without a board vote and hiring friends and relatives over qualified people.

On May 14 2009 which is a Thursday Next Light (a large solar company) made a presentation (see news article here)on a 230-megawatt solar power facility has been proposed on 2,100 acres of fallow farmland 1½ miles north of the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve.

Nobody From the AVRCD showed.
Nobody from the Poppy Preserve showed.

The Pres. of the AVRCD has the fiduciary obligation to insure that the Districts interests are addressed and monitored. the AVRCD has not shown any interest in their mandated duties by the law that created the agency (cal DIV 9). This oversight needs to be corrected. With the influx of major solar companies coming into the area and large projects that impact 1000's of acres need to be monitored for land, air, water and animal habitat, which is in the duties of the AVRCD. This oversight is very lacking and to the point of non-existent. If the AVRCD can't perform the necessary duties and functions then a change of venue is in order.

It seems implausible that such a large project is planned and both the AVRCD and the Poppy Preserve were lacking in attendance to a meeting geared for their particular area.(basically to inform them of intent) The Poppy Preserve will eventually have a cow about a project next to their doorstep, but they didn't feel it necessary to attend any meetings to voice any opinions. You snooze, You loose

There are projects like this and many more coming and if these arm chair bureaucrats don't feel it warrants their time They better not Pitch a Bit*h

Heck I was told the Queen Bee of the AVRCD didn't show up for the May meeting .she did a phone patch to the meeting. Talk about to busy. If you can't attend the functions get out and let somebody else do it.

what's this I hear that the Pres. Lady is letting her office staff spend $1000's of dollars on stuff at the AVRCD and nobody on the board voted for it.
I was told she is spending money like she was printing it for the office staff and her grant program.( which doesn't cover the expenses)
They had officer elections and shooed in the old guard, the only member that wasn't in the group was the treasurer. Who doesn't even have the books or the check book (they keep stalling on giving up the info)
The financial's are a mess and don't jive, even a couple of accountants can't make heads or tails of them.
And take the the Desert Mountain Desert and Mountain Conservation Authority created years ago, Has not had a published meeting, but continues to grab tax default land (Lancaster City donates money) and turns it over to Santa Monica Conservation District. What the heck is the SMCD doing here in the desert. There are no records of meetings and no notices of meetings (violation of the Brown Act) and this silent "GHOST" is gobbling up land and converting it into animal habitat (not a bad idea) which makes it impossible to build within a 1000 feet of the boundaries.

These azz holes have had another meeting and again have accomplished nothing. 90% of the agenda items were put off till another meeting in August 13-09 the same day the Supervisor has his BBQ.

They did authorize things for their precious office girls.

By the way officers was voted on 2 months ago and the treasurer has yet to make a "treasures" report. Rumor has it that the Treasurer doesn't have access to the books and doesn't have the check book, What the hey, why have officers of the board if they can't function.

What nursery? Where? Ive asked around and no one I know locally knows about any nursery that we can get plants from. Whats the big secret and where the heck is it?

who's doing the repair on the old greenhouse. The new green house looks like it is being erected by a contractor, is he the same fixing the old one????

The wicked witch from heck has announced that she will have a special meeting to discuss "employee Exemptions". Could this be a move on her part to protect her alleged sister from being given orders from other board members.

Is she trying to become the "Simon Legree" of the AVRCD. Her and only her can give orders????? How come the Dust busters is getting all their work done by the AVRCD personal and the outcast board members are not allowed to ask questions or request papers without a cascade of tears and emotional outbursts.(what is the woman afraid of)

It is becoming real apparent that you need approval from the wicked witch to get agenda items placed on the agenda, her permission to ask for anything, her permission to go to the john and her permission to accomplish anything in general, I think this is called MICRO-MANAGEMENT

Hey the witch Hazel has called a special meeting at 5:30 Oct 8 2009 to cover for her alleged sister that she has working in the office. She plans to rip a couple of the board members for making her cry (booooo H0000).

She plans to have an attorney present, whats up. Another board member who uses the girl for his projects is in on the deal.

According to Div 9 of the Cal-code the Pres does the bidding of the board, not the board does the bidding of the Pres.

I stopped following this festering sore a long time ago, but I am curious as to why an attorney had to be present at a meeting.

I hear the office is in a turmoil with nothing getting done, because the office help is all upset with the directors asking for to much work.

Heck I went into the office to get a plant list at least 4 times at different time frames and nobody was there and I still can't get an updated list. The one on the web site sucks, so does the web site. I don't care about the junk they have on the site. I want info on plants and how to grow them. What are the native plants and where can I get some of the plants that Lancaster "CD" recommends.

Hundreds of unemployed woodworkers in the valley and the only one they hire is related to the Pres.!

The pres lady didn't show up for the last meeting, I guess she was upset that her attempt to bash the other board members back fired. Now she looks like an Azz.

There was a interesting question raised at the meeting. A public person asked if any of the employees were related to the board members and the clerk girl almost fell out of her chair.

You know that with 100dths of people out of work and illegal Canadians are taking up badly needed jobs in some agencies, working on expired work visas and bringing their families here to suck up hard to find housing. Yes we found out.

It appears that the pres lady is letting her emotions run her candidacy and not common sense. As any politician knows you can not show emotion in your decisions, if you do it is time to step down and let a more qualified person do the job.
