How long has it been broken for?? I know at least a week. How hard would it have been to place temporary signage? I hate attitudes around here. Nobody plans for or gives a sh*t until something like this happens.

The town manager should see to it that the light is fixed. Where is the tax dollars that we pay for such things, if the town doesn't employee anyone with the knowledge to fix the light then hire someone....I wouldn't blame the injured if they sue the town of Lebanon....simple neglect!

Why are we blaming the town workers? I have seen them fix plenty of lights the day they mess up, so apparently this one is dif. Maybe they need a part to be delivered to fix it, bc I've seen them on multiple occasions out there working on it. But back to the wreck. It's a flashing yellow, which means caution and a flashing red which means stop. Obviosly someone or both, broke the law by running a red light or not yielding when suppose to, and also to be medflighted out in a 25 or 35 MPH zone.. were they speeding?

I heard that alcohol played as a big factor in the wreck. I hope everyone is ok though

No one is blaming anyone...just stating the facts. It has been over a week that I noticed the light flashing. It needs to be fixed!! Do whatever is necessary, but get it fixed. Maybe one of the town officers should be out there, especially around the hours of 3-5 pm, traffic gets a little heavy some days, with school starting it is really important that something gets done!!!!

They r doing what it takes to get it fixed, they r waiting on the part to fix it! The lightning hit the red light and they can't fix it till they receive the part! And having some1 direct traffic prolly would help with school starting. But what I don't understand is everything seems to supposedly be the towns fault, no matter what it is! When the lights r flashing yellow that means use caution that's common since, and for that bad of an accident the people involved could not have been going the speed limit or using caution. I really hope and pray no one was injured and I am not trying to be mean! But no1 should blame the town for this, I understand there will always be people out there that do this and nothing I can say will change that, it's like the road work that was being done near pizza hut people complained about the road being uneven and messed up and when the water lines busted underneath the road it made it worse, and when they replaced it people people complained about it holding up traffic and being a pain in the a*s! The town is out there doing what they can with the funds they have. And if u r not satisfied with where your tax money is going to talk to the mayor or mike duty!

Yeah! Why blame the town for not getting the light fixed. Its obviously our job to maintain the town, build play grounds, and salt the roads when it snows. The nerve of some people trying to blame the town for town maintenance.. Smh!

Well considering the light can't be fixed without the part to fix it lol! Oh I guess they can mysteriously pull it out of there ass! Oh and my bad it's not the whole part, it's the whole box that goes to the red light! So go ahead and blame the town, if ya don't like the way things are run the move, my guess is you will have something to b*tch about there also!

Oh i'm sure you know the details of why it hasn't been fixed yet. Or maybe you are just assuming ... You do know what happens when you "assume" don't you?

Actually I do know, and I am not assuming! I am close friends with many of them and even the main man over the town! U can sit there and accusing me of lieing if u want but the light was hit by lightning and now they have to wait on the main box to fix it! In the mean time they can not fix the light, and when they get the part I can assure u it will be fixed! But u know your self that when u order something u have to wait for it to arrive! But I am done with this. I conversation, no one in this town will believe anything they always want to put the blame on some one else! This blame game is really childish, until u know for sure then you don't assume plain and simple! Bye

Other than signage to be placed- yield from one direction (Wendy's), and "go" from the other on Main St. Yes it's common sense to some, not so much from others. You have to plan for the lowest common denominator, that's all.
And after 1.5 weeks of it being down, I don't feel that's too much to ask?! I understand waiting on parts, and that's fine.. but a short-term solution is in order too.

I live on Sword Street--maybe 50 yards from where the accident occurred, and I can tell anyone who is complaining about the light "not working" that we have seen town people out there attempting to fix it countless times (day before yesterday was the latest attempt). Let's stop assuming before we get facts, how about it? Living where we do, it is common sense...yield to oncoming traffic when entering the main drag, and there isn't a problem. I don't know the specifics of the accident, for I didn't go down there (so we wouldn't be in the way of the life-saving crews)--but to blame the town is ridiculous. WHAT I DO KNOW is that we all need to stop the blame game and pray for those who were affected....and with that I will get off my soap box.

It shouldn't be our job to practice awesome driving skills in the middle of town. It has been over a week. That light should have been fixed. Now..if I had been in that nice little wreck.. The town would be getting sued. They have had plenty of time to fix the light. and I don't care about " the package hasn't been delivered yet ewwwwww!!!!" Bitch my Amazon crap don't take this long. Last time I checked drivers Ed class now, 10 yrs ago , 30 years ago .. Never taught any one what to do when the place you live in has a broken stop light and never gets it fixed!
