Is the Sheriff and all his deputies cowards or what?

you so big and bad, then you become a law enforcement officer and go out by yourself and see what kind of problems you are faced with. with the nuts in this country these days, you must have back up....

The State Police also have backup when they go into most situations, especially domestics. You hear the local law on the scanner, but you do not hear the state police dispatch.

I don't care how big or bad anyone thinks they are, it would not be wise to go to highly volatile situations by yourself!! There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a little back up! U have to remember, usually no one wants to see the police come to their door when they have a chance of being arrested, they usually end up becoming aggresive and no one, police or not, should be expected to go to these situations alone. And Anthony happens to be a really great person, but he has a job to do!

From what i remember from all of my criminal justice classes in college, when a call comes in for an officer to check on something, depending on what sort of situation it is, they are required to have backup. which if you ask me is common sense. they are the police, not the incredible hulk! geez, if it is only one of them and say 4 or so other people, a small no-major issue can turn into a huge major ordeal over nothing. this day and time people take everything over offensive before they even hear the whole story!! i think that it is a wise choice for backup.

i agree! any officer or sherrif puts their life on the line when they respond to certain situations. Considering this, if I were an officer, I know I'd want as much back up as possible. they are a team
