I think you and I are on the same page. I also am a white woman born and raised in the rural midwest, so it's not like I have an agenda in defending Mr. Kidd's honor. I think what was done to him in the media is absolutely appalling, and I also agree that he should seek a lawyer. This whole situation is news enough without dragging an innocent man into the mix.

some people don't see dollar signs when something like this happens...all is well, they see it for what it is...the police (and media, reporting) doing their jobs...and let it go. The media has posted the story of being cleared and an article of an interview with Mr. Kidd

How interesting it seems that how serious simple threats make upon people.

"How could they?" How could they what? These are only ALLEGATIONS, they are not FACTS -- a big difference. Who does the media think they are by presenting ALLEGATIONS as FACTS and for presenting SUSPECTS as CONVICTED CRIMINALS. The real criminals are the MEDIA and the STUPID PUBLIC for believing whatever the media feeds them.

I don't know this family, and IF the ALLEGATIONS prove to be true, then a horrific crime has been committed and justice will prevail as much as it can be in such situations. BUT IF THESE ALLEGATIONS ARE THE PRODUCT OF SOMEONE WITH AN AGENDA OR MENTAL PROBLEMS then the Mohlers will never see justice. Their lives have been ruined -- destroyed -- before they ever get to court. This is NOT the way the American justice system is set up. How can we forget that one is INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY. I hope to goodness this sick mass mentality isn't going to prevail in the future. If so, America is lost.

Wake up people. We're not their judges unless we're chosen on the jury -- and with the media spewing their judgment across the country from the outset, where on earth will an impartial jury ever be found for a fair hearing?

The alleged crime is sickening. The immoral conduct of the press is frightening. All of us who have taken for granted that the Mohlers are guilty of these ALLEGATIONS are to be shamed, press and public alike.

This man has strength of character to understand that the authorities were doing their job. He could be a Virginian!

"Please" sometimes the Police do their job with a little more gusto than required and that is a fact plain and simple. Had they not arrested the wrong person Mr Kidd would not be in the lime light..Police made a mistake and Mr Kidd will pay for a long time, Lots of people follow the news.. If would be a diffrent story if YOU was the one arrested by mistake.. Even if you are innocent most times that arrest and booking will stay on file forever.....

This man admits knowing one of the victims. Just because he does not know the Mohlers does not meaN he is not guilty of the same thing which might be why he was named.

If no evidence is found, if these men are innocent (as I believe they are), the damage done to Larry Kidd will be nothing compared to the damage done to the Mohler men. Even if none of them did anything wrong, their name will be ruined. Even now their wives and families have had vandals throwing rocks in their windows and threatening them, with no evidence, no trial, and certainly no conviction.

I agree. I know I would surely find an attorney! This whole story is sounding more and more like a witch hunt!
