Boyfriend Charged In 4-Year-Old's Beating, Murder - WDAF

if the mother knew he was volient why did she leave him with that trash. where is his father? they both nees to have charges brought up against them. shes guilty to.

So is everyone who has a criminal history accused of murder? Why is there a need to bring up Jason's past? It is not neccessary! As for Heather the mom of the 11-year-old where have you been? If he is such a dangerous man then why dont you have your son? To me you are just as bad. You dont care for your baby. Who cares if Jason has been in prison before that still does not make him a murder. My heart goes out to Jason and Monica's families.

i have a 5 year grandson if anyone touch a hair on his had their dead i will not let that person live.

It has been stated that Jason Jones had been taking parenting classes, etc. Apparently the classes didn't do much good. Was Monica Rivera ordered to take those classes as well? I would be interested in knowing where he was receiving those services, if the program is considered best practices, was the teacher qualified, if he was court ordered, and if he attended all of the sessions.

Your family should really pursue the questions about what parenting class Jason was taking and whether or not he was in regular attendance. Seems a trained facilitator would have quickly picked up on his drug induced impairment and would have reported it. The credentials of the program and facilitator does make a difference! And I agree your sister-in-law should have been forced to take classes as well. One of the saddest things about this case, as well as many others, is the misguided notion that if at all possible the "family unit should be preserved". IMO - Some families should not be preserved. Not all children are better off with their parents. My prayers are with you and the rest of your family. I can't imagine what all of you must be going through.

Get it right Heather did not have mommy money
to fight in court like Jason did (Kathy) has gave her sh** from the day he was born.

He deserves all that he gets ,life or death, cause He was just a little boy a LITTLE BOY DAMN HIM!!!!

Monica was not a mother to this boy or she wouldn't have helped Jason kill him. Mother's take care to keep harm from our children. I pray that they charge Monica with the same charges. Monica may try to play the victim however it is the children that are the victims. Jason and Monica made there choices. As to the Parenting classes, all the classes in the world would not change the killer in these two people.

Why is the 11 year old in protective custody now? Why doesn't his mother have him?

Why would jasons mother (kathy) stand behind him on this. she has to know what kinda monster he is. Damn where's the justice here. Im so sorry to the rivera family. i personally grew up with all of you in leavenworth and would have never dreamed of something like this happening but wheres our world coming to. It just pisses me off to know that his mom KATHY JONES would stand behind him. Whats wrong with you KATHY!

I could just cry. I hope he feels like a tough guy now, because soon he will be begging for anyone to believe his lies. Prisons are filled with non-violent drug offenders who were taken from their own children, and they don't take kindly to scum who beat children. But how can we expect anyone to value the life of a little boy when we can legally murder our children minutes before birth? This is just another failure of the Child Protective Services who do not care about the safety of children. It is obvious that the taxpayer funded system doesn't care about helping children, because in this case everything shouts that this scuz is not to be around kids. Way to go system! This is a horrible nightmare and I hope he spends the rest of his life locked up and repenting for the unspeakable crime he has committed. There is a very special place in hell for those who inflict pain on four-year olds. World upside down

Why aren't people staying focused on the person who is ultimately responsible for Gabriel's death -Jason Jones? When it comes down to it, attempting to place blame on others at this point in time relieves Jason Lee Jones of taking complete responsibility for his actions. He alone chose to abuse a precious little boy. He is the one who "shook, tortured and beat" a child to death. There is no excuse for what he did. There are plenty of reasons it happened, and plenty of missed opportunities for having prevented it from happening, but bottom line - Jason is the person responsible. I can assure you, he has become an expert on blaming others for his actions and/or allowing others to accept responsibility or share in the blame. But when we start pointing fingers at others, we are actually creating excuses for Jason's behavior.

Nobody made Jason do what he did. He is the person who took the life of an innocent child.

Jason should be the focus of all anger and outrage at this point in time. Not friends and/or family members. There will be plenty of time for that later.

Also, please keep in mind, it is not easy to have a child taken away from his/her parent(s). Thank family preservation for that. Take time to read our state's CINC laws.

WHOA! Back up! Jason's past is relavant because it shows he is an evil monster! Heather is a GOOD MOTHER who has tried for years to get her son out of the hands of Jason and his delusional parents! If the courts had listened years ago then the 11 yr old boy would not have been there to witness such a horrible crime!!! Heather loves her son and this is certainly not her fault! The blame lies with Jason!!!Being in prison doesn't make him a murderer...MURDER makes him a murderer. DO NOT DARE slander Heather in this mess! If the "who can pay the most for an atty" game hadn't been played, she would have her son. My heart goes out to Monica's family as well as the families of all the children involved.
