Kansas City's Corona Cantina #1 still has some problems to work out,...

I'm so happy this place has opened! After three visits, I've come to the conclusion that it's the only restaurant in Kansas City that features real Mexican. As in the kind of food I get when I go on vaction to Mexico.(They have Tex Mex on the menu too, but I haven't had it.) So far, my favs are the beer-battered prawns, the swiss enchilada and the fish tacos. The prices are fair too, so I'll be back to try more.

This was the worst food ever. The service was terrible, the food was beyond disgusting. No one in our party was able to eat their food and when we complained about the food and the service the manager said "OK" and walked away. Very rude people,terrible food, dirty dishes. I'll never set foot in there again.

AWFUL. Worst restaurant experience I've ever had! Would not even take my in-laws there. I've never seen worse food or service or management in my life.

Have not eaten there yet. My friend was hired there, first day of training was sent home because the person who hired him was not working that nite, was told to come back tomorrow!!! next day after barely being trained in, no introductions, not clocked in yet, Mr. Roberto (owner) walks in talking on the cell phone, hangs up to talk to my friend in private. Tells him he is not to be a host because he didn't smile. Previously he had seated many tables, smiling while explaining the menu and restaurant. This guy tells him No second chances, you are to be a runner. Go home. only worked one and a half hours. The guy is not a professional and doesn't deserve my business.

By the way my friend is now fired without training or explanation.

Thats how they are down in Kansas also. Veeerrryy RUDE, only concerned about money not performance and poor sanitation. The bathrooms were a mess, the food was cold and the management was rude....yes, especially their GM. We were there over the weekend for the first time since april and it's only gotten worse.

Went back over this last weekend...haven't been there since Feb. and was really disappointed this time around. The last time we went, our server was nice and the manager was very visible, walking around and talking to people. The food wasn't that great, but they'd only been open a month.
This time...better food...worse service and very very unconcerned management. No smiles, no follow-up and insincere talk.
If you don't like where you work go someplace else.

What is going on here? This had to be the worst experience of my life. NO ONE was concerned about us. It was as if the staff was in a free for all. Wasn't very busy and no wonder. Food was blah, service was nonexistent and if there was a manager there I don't know what they were doing because I never saw them. 3rd time not a charm but another disappointing experience. Sorry Corona but 3 strikes you're out.
