deer park may have been a great school but with some teachers and ast principals like STEVE CORRY WHO IS THE WORST OF ALL. they care nothing about the kids . if one of the students acts up the best way for some teachers and princioals is to send them to walters so they dont have to deal with . this school district has gone down hill for several years .im not in education but i know kids and how they should be treated.

I wonder if JOHN MARSHALL, ROBERT E LEE, DOUGLAS MACARTHUR & Steve Corry whined this much.

Quit bi***ing about school! If you don't like it, quit and get a job,... That'll teach 'em.

Face it.... no matter what district you are in .. no matter where in the world you are... there will always be someone in ANY school district you do not like. I have met many teachers and administratos that I DO NOT like for my children. As parents it is up to you to make the year work for your child. Not too much you can do about the Principals / Asst. Principals except go to the Superintendant / School Board, but for Texas teachers (and any administrative person in the school district) you can always check their discipline record by going to: http://www.sbec.state.tx.us/SBECONLINE/virtce... .... you have the right to have your child the teacher of your choice provided there is a legitimate reason for changing teachers. So it doesn't always being with administration .... many times it's teh teachers themselves. I have grin and beared it all these years to be sure my kids were always comfortable in school... and so far it has worked.

Okay for all of you... stop running your mouth about dpisd. The teachers there are outstanding and the reason why they don't want to deal with most of the ignorant kids that go there is because all of them are disrespectful. How about ya'll deal with 890 students in one grade and hear how they talk to adults then you will see why the teachers are the way they are. And there is nothing wrong with Mr. Corry trust me they are all friendly and nice but when they need to get strict they put their foot down.

DPISD provides both excellent and poor education. The reason kids are sent away, is due to the districts lack of attention to the bottom half of the class. The AP teachers are some of the best in the state, and the AP test records will show it. The teachers Assigned to regular classes are uncaring and usually idiots. The DPISD education system provides all its opportunities to the top 10-15%, and the rest are forgotten and lost in the nothingness that is regular teachers.

I've found the DPISD to be excellent. If a child can't behave in school then they'll really have problems when the time comes for them to move on to the working world. Guess mom & dad can support them.

are you kidding me? before you can complain about a school, first maybe you should come across as someone with an education. most of the posts complaining about the school district have several misspelled words....along with misused vocabulary.

i have found deer park to have one of the best districts in the greater Houston area. i have a special needs child the schools made every effort to ease transition into a normal classroom atmosphere....previously AB classes in PISD. the counselors and teachers give their all....and still try to prepare the students for the TAKS test...which really needs to just go away.

the school district teaches....it's up to the student to learn

Has anyone given any thought to the fact that it is the adults who are the cause of most of this disrespect you keep whining about.The kids aren't disclipend at home,school or on the street,because we as adults have demanded that the kids today can not be punished in any way,or we will go to jail for abuse,so while you are whining,think about it,no one can touch these unruly kids

If schools were run like "Boot Camps" we wouldn't be having the problems we have today.
