There are some claims being made by some candidates that water rates can be cut in half. Gimme a break. There have been two omnibus bills in the legislature attempting to distribute Texas water to its growth areas. Water is just gonna get more expensive. It's gonna be the next oil. I'm sure they are talking about the regional system cost but without it, Leander's cost will triple if a 50 year supply is secured and without a 50 year supply, employers will look elsewhere for sustainable locations.
