gangs in lawton - is this sickening or what?

I think we all are sick of the "gangs" springing up left and right in Lawton. Anyone feel this is just teens acting stupidly or a major problem? Lawton police thinks so because they formed a "gang unit" and I think that was a great move. Some of us have kids and elderly to take care of.

I'm so sick of these stupid punks that think they are bad. They are nothing but wanta be's and they should be taken out and beaten like the dogs they are. Hell a dog acts better than they do. They think they,but are bad get them by themselves and they are scared babies. They are only bad when they are in large groups. And can only hurt those that are young or old. I would like to see them go one on one with someone their size fist to fist. Without guns , knifes ect. But then again we are talking about a bunch of candy ass's any way. Don't don't have a oz of pride in them at all. I think it should be a federal crime if you are in a gang , out doing harm to people or property. And their stupid gang writing is sicken also.

It makes them feel good when they get arrested & labeled "gangstas" cause folks that don't know no better are get "scared" of them. woooooooo They just need some boot in their behinds but the generation that's out there now have or HAD parents that are all in the booze & drugs & ain't got time to discipline. The teens wanna be grown & hang with the now adult so-called gangstas and the adults wanna still be teens!!! Yeah, it's all sick!

You hit the nail dead on the head. I think of these "adults" that wanna be teens again as living in a second childhood. You have 30 yr olds hanging on the same block they did 15 years before. Laughing, smoking weeed/doing drugs, hanging out at the mall like its the thing to do. Living life backwards. I also think is should be a federal offense to be in a gang. Good point. It is sickening to the fullest extent.

well most of you people talking probably do not go in the bad neighborhoods in lawton i have lived in all of them ive had 2 friends in the last year murdered beacuse of gang shit so you can hide in the rich neighborhoods like east lawton and say its not here but step into lawton high or drive through taft hood or the south side view an take a look around and dont just remember what it was 10 years ago shit has changed ive been there ive seen it and im actually from philadelphia pennsylania so i do know what im talking about

I moved to Lawton when I was 5, I always called it home. I married when I was young and followed my husband to other States and countries. I always emagined moving back, until My sister was murdered, she was a prostitute and meth user. I don't know if she was killed because of the drugs or the prostitution, she was one of 7 women found. I know the drugs there are really bad and I know about the gangs. I believe everyone has a choice, you have a choice to smoke a joint or stay cleaned. Still a bike or help a neighbor. Lie and Cheat or Honesty and faithful and so on and so no. So this is for you L Murdock, your reasons of unfairness to your friends, family and neighbor is a choice you've made, a choice you have to change them.
If you are a user and you feel its to hard to get cleaned and you just don't think you can do it, then you won't, But if you truely want the help you can call the Comanche County Memorial Hospital and they can dirrect you to free asstance, just remember when you do get cleaned up, get your shit and get out of town away from your friends or you'll be doing it again.

some people associated with gang members are halfway decent, just the people they grew up with. But, most these kids that thing they are something are a bunch of wannabe punks. that does make them dangerous and willing to do something. I used to work security at the P.O.s and its real, mainly just stupid kids, but its real. Nothing makes me madder than a group of wannabe gangstas mobbed up in the street...guess what I do when I drive by and they wont move.....I speed up! they sure as hell move then. B1tches.

Alright yea Ive been stationed in lawton and i agree with most of yall...lawton isnt good at all...I speak from experience...I was jumped by 3 black punk wannabes and robbed and beaten of my clothes..the messed up thing is..they got away with it even when they had the guys in custody...i was nearly beaten to death and the lawton city police department did nothing..Lawton police can suck my dick and if and when i get elected to the senate in oklahoma im going to fire every last police officer and especially the DA for not doing their job.....By the way ive been to nearly every large city and i would have to say lawton is one sad place and the police department can go f themselves!
