Louisiana is a POOR WELFARE STATE. There are more white people on welfare (housing, medicaid, LaChip, food stamps, education for unmarried women with kids).

The businesses that are coming in get a HUGE tax break and only hire about 200 people. Is it really worth it?

Turning prisons over to FOR PROFIT will keep people going to jail (no rehad) and LA will become a PRISON STATE - not too many good businesses want that environment for their people.

Giving vouchers to a few students so they can go to FOR PROFIT schools WITHOUT accountability will not improve our education system. Using new Technology will! They are investigating the FOR PROFIT college scams. So many students borrowed money and now don't have a good education nor good job!

Far from what most believe to be true, illegal immigrants DO NOT receive welfare directly - but their legal AMERICAN (born here) children do.

Just like the unmarried women with children eat the food that is intended for the minor children, the illegal immigrant adults do too!

That is why there should be a list of staples to purchase from, not just a dollar amount so they can purchase what they want and definately NOT for FAST FOOD places.

If we are going to fix welfare, we need to know the facts!

In LA, sheriff's now own some of the prisons and Jindal wants all to go FOR PROFIT. What do you suppose is their main objective? Think Mitt Romeny; MONEY!!!! At a cheaper day rate, they will have to keep them full at all times in order to make HUGE PROFITS! Do the math.

Turn off Fox News and read about all the new private jobs that were being created in the first half of the year. Mitt backers put an end to that; all so political. It is public jobs that are still being lost: education, police and firefighters (are you in favor of this?). The 1% has trillions of dollars in offshore banks and are waiting for Mitt R. to allow them to bring it back to US banks at a LOW TAX RATE; just like W. did. Who is going to pay the US bills? Who is going to pay down the debt?

Middle Class needs to step up and say enough is enough and stand with the working poor. No one should get rich over night except as the only winner of the powerball lottery.

Obama extended Bush tax credits for all and a few jobs started to be created then election year is here and it slowed down. Do you really want the 1% to screw you over and over again?

I will NOT put Medicare in jeopardy in order to get rid of Obama. I think the old saying is "I WILL NOT CUT MY NOSE TO SPITE MY FACE".
