It is my belief that like the citizens of Gwinnett must do the county must do too. Take what comes in and do the best they can with it. At a time when everyone is bringing in less why should they pay more ? This is wrong.

You like the services?? You think they're free? The last tax increase was when? Get real, folks, those pot holes don't fix themselves. Time to stop whining and own up to what it costs to have the great services we have had and whether we want our police out there protecting us, our highways maintained, our libraries open for service to all. And yes, I pay taxes, too...

My point was that any entity ,family, or agency has X amount coming in. I do like the services but we will have to learn to do without them until more money comes in. Just like everyone else has to do. I'm sure I didn't vote in the high density residential zoning and I do not want to pay for it. I live in a single free standing home. You want to raise taxes then raise them on Condo and apartment communities. They are the reason so many services are needed and so many are unfunded. Not free standing homeowners. The problem is high density zoning brings in people that pay less taxes but use more services. Put it back on the Board of Commissioners where much of it belongs. There's a lot of us that do not want to pay for others mistakes. Raising taxes during an economic collapse will hurt far more than it helps. Remember that jobs do not come to where higher taxes are. And yes I'd rather dodge a pothole than pay the Gwinnett government a penny more. Just one citizens opinion.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Leo

The atmosphere is highly combustible today, with people getting in a stew over the smallest little thing. You will also have a tendency to get hot under the collar, especially if someone isn't doing things as quickly as you'd like. Try to stop yourself getting in a rage because once that happens it will be difficult to cool down again. Maybe you need some fresh air?
