Market Square makeover to start next month

Construction crews will begin Market Square's long-awaited makeover next month. The $5.1 million project is part of an ambitious strategy to transform the square's image among Downtown visitors as an unwelcoming mix of traffic and vagrants to an open, European-style piazza dotted with sidewalk cafe tables, decorative lighting and shady trees.

Every time you waste money to change this small pathetic plot of ground, the pigeons, the drug dealers, and the drunks, will still use it for a bathroom.

This area has been changed so many times that it just doesn't matter anymore. Why not reopen the markets of the early 1900's and put in a new roller skating rink?
