Crafton police officer charged in hit-and-run

The Assistant Police Chief Maurita Bryant didn't sugar coat what she thought about this criminal she told it like it is, finally a breath of fresh air in a other wise stink hole of cover ups.

What about all the citations or arrests this fugitive might of issued or the last two years under the law he was sworn to uphold.

crafton police have always been cool with me, and Ive have a few warnings there. :) not many cops over there to spoil a bunch with one apple.

I'd be interested in knowing just who the friends were in the other vehicle. They ought to be held responsible for not reporting this hit and run which caused the death of a human being. Yet again, alcohol and driving DO NOT MIX! Obviously, this message has yet to register in those who choose to imbibe and drive while under the influence. This holds true to judges, attorneys, and law enforcement as well as the general public.

This is a concern of mine, to be sure.

First of all, nobody has all the facts and until then nobody should pass judgement. I know Officer Breeden he is a good person. Him being a police officier should not affect what happened. Everybody that is judging should think what they would have done. I know everybody is going to say they would have stopped, but until you are in that position don't say anything. I also hope nobody has to make that decision.

What a joke. Of course we would have stopped. Thats what you do when you hit someone, if not because its the right thing to do, at least out of fear of getting in trouble for it.

This scumbag cop assumed he wouldn't get in trouble for it because he's a cop. This is exactly the type of useless trash we do not need "protecting" our streets. If he's so willing to kill someone and flee the scene, just think about all of the other crimes he's capable of committing because he thinks he won't get in trouble.

Dear Dont Judge, it was dark and raining when I ran over something. I stopped my car to check it out. It was a dog. I took the time to move the dead dog out of the road so no one else would have to feel as badly as I did. This was what I did for a dog. Yes, I would stop. Now, my father who drank and drove ... I cannot speak for him.

I guess I missed the part where he was found guilty in a court of law.

he will be, they dont investigate this kind of crime and do nothing about it..

oh yeah what about his friends who stopped to check on the dead guy who was RUN OVER? did they commit a crime by withholding evidence in a homicide? possible any of them have sworn to uphold the law?

I guess nobody has broken the law. Speeding running stop signs... Now for all of you that have done this go strait to the police station and turn yourselves in for what ever law you have broken. As for those of you that say you would stop, How can you say that until you are in that situation? We all say we would but would you? I don't agree with what he did but he was probally scared when this happened.

Now I have a few questions about the case.
1. Did the guy step out in front of him?

2.Why are you assuming he was with other cops, He didn't always hang out with other cops.

Guess what? The people that he was bar hopping with were most likely law endorcement also. They all need to fryyyyyyy! The need to be held to a higher standard.

The person hit may not have been dead after the first hit. He was hit by several vehicles. What bar were they at in Greentree??? Who are they covering for???? This whole thing is sick. Thank God that they will be judged and rot in hell as a result, including those who hid the incident!!!!
The person may have lived if they would have responded in the first place!!?!!

If you is such a good person then why didn't HE come back to the scene and do his job instead of sending his friends to do his dirty work for him so they are now accomplices and will also be in trouble for something that this man did??? If he was such a good cop and citizen then why didn't he come back to offer aid to help David? He is a weak man, scared or not, he should have come back to face the consequences like a real man, not a coward that he is. He should definitely NOT be a police officer!!!

I am Davids' cousin and I am totally disgusted with what I am reading here and how people can defend this man like they are doing. It was an accident....AT FIRST...but now its manslaughter...involuntary or not, he killed someone and did nothing about it and had his friends protect him. Sick, sick man!

Oh its OK for cops to drink and drive...we should do what they say, not what they do...like talk on their cell phones when driving, and speeding when they aren't in pursuit or even on duty, they aren't supposed to be driving their cars with their families in the car, yet most of them will go to the police station and fill up their cars and take them on vacations...many of them...not all, take advantage of the badge and shouldn't really be out there protecting people, they are just wearing it to get away with things!
