I hope everybody that reads this realizes that this could happen to anyone that carries agun around and is comfrontational with law enforcement. 100% of the blame lies with the agitated guy running around with a loaded gun. Unless you are a liberal, then the liberal says it's 100% police fault. Liberals would like Police to not have any weapons. A batton would be a liberals idea of protection and maybe a can of mase. They also would expect a Policeman to try and talk the guy into turning his gun over to Law Enforcement.

I disagree with both of you. Liberals would not allow the police to carry type of weapon for protection. They would allow the police to give the crooks cash for guns with no questions asked.

The cops shouldn't of shot at this guy so many times like they did..once would of been ok as long as they got him down..But cops be over reacting and start shooting way too much is wrong on there behalf too..

Nope. Because a few bullets cost a helluva lot less than, let's say... imprisonment, possible lawsuits, future crimes committed by a criminal, future offspring of a criminal who then become criminals themselves. Tell me that the criminal would've been fine just shooting the cop just once to put him down. He would've kept shooting to kill and assure a get away. I know how to avoid "over reactions", how about don't carry a gun and stop commiting crimes? Let's start there. DUH!

You stupid MTF you didn't even know the person and you are judging him. First of all he wasn't running around with a gun. The gun was never fired. The shooter was the Lawndale Sheriff dept. and they shot there own fellow cop but of course they will not say that on the news because they would look really stupid. His off spring as you put it is a very intellegent boy. That's whats wrong with people today they assume what is not there..Go to the site and you will see that he was a honest working man...

OH, shout out from FLA? Listen up. Just because you find no fault in a person, described by HIS OWN MOTHER as "agitated and that he had a gun," doesn't ever make illegally carrying a gun above judgment. It is illegal to carry a gun without a license as a civilian. Thus, this person that I don't know, committed a crime. He was a criminal at that moment, and that is my judgment, assessment and conclusion. I didn't say he was running around with a gun, but he had one, Yes? And for the intelligent boy who is his son, I wish only the best and hope he stays straight and proves my statement wrong.

Without divulging confidential information, you ma'am, are completely wrong. You are obviously not a member of any of the law enforcement agencies involved.

She obviously doesn't know what happened. She can't even get the name of the department right. Lawndale Sheriff's? That isn't even a county.
